Because of the "60" in the reels name, you might think this is an Abu Ambassadeur 6000- or 6500-size reel. It isn't. This is a Chinese-made knockoff of the Abu Garcia Ambassadeur 7000. The manufacturing quality is surprisingly good. All parts seem well made and fit together perfectly. Machining and casting is precise. The fit and finish of the frame, endplates, cast controls, and spool is as good as any other reel I own (some costing as much as $300). The handle length is perfect (100 mm?) and it has good-sized EVA knobs. Overall it feels solid and well made. I haven't fished with it yet but I'm confident that it will perform properly and, if cleaned and lubricated as needed, I'm sure it will last many years. My only complaint is that all components had far too much grease on them. For example, the levelwind worm gear and levelwind cog wheel axle were covered in grease. I cleaned this off and replaced with reel oil. (Grease on the worm gear attracts dirt which wears it prematurely and grease on the cog axle reduces casting distance.)

Only had a few months, but seems very well built and heavy duty. Has been my go to reel and so far no issues at all. Would, and will, buy again.

I like this reel allot and even bought a second one because of the value for the money. It casts like a dream, has a great drag, and oversize reel handle for good leverage. The frame and spool size seems to be about optimum for the type of catfishing that I do. My only complaint is that one of the two that I purchased has a nice loud clicker while the other one has a mushy feel to engage and is not as loud but I might be able to mod it to improve it.
