Banpresto Dragon Ball Z Android 18 Q posket Figure

I was first drawn to Android 18 when I stumbled across the iteration shown pulling her vest off: torn tights, denim skirt and cutoff vest, long-sleeved tee and boots, getting ready to rumble. I had no idea who she was, but a strong, capable woman is attractive to me under any circumstance. This character was obviously strong *and* capable, while remaining markedly *different* from the overtly sexualized superheroines who populate most of pop culture. Android 18 doesn't need to be poured into spandex or skintight leather stripper wear; she can maintain her modesty and still kick butt as needed. I think it's the visual dissonance between what she *is* capable of, and what she *appears to be* capable of, that I find so refreshing........refreshing enough that I bought the figurine just to have it. Later, as more iterations of the character became available, I collected those, as well.I confess that I am still only vaguely familiar with the whole Dragon Ball/Android storyline. The way I understand it, Android 18 started out as an evil character - perhaps brainwashed to be so? - but later redeemed herself, married and produced a child, and now fights on the side of good and justice. Works for me. As you might gather from the photographs, I have thoroughly enjoyed collecting the figurines.Which brings us to the item at hand. The quality of the figurine is as good or better than any other in my collection - all my Android 18s, Harley Quinns, Beatrix Kiddos, et alia. No flaws I can detect, carefully packaged, and stable on its feet even without the provided base plate, although I opted to use it just to be safe.The figurine was also available at what I consider a very reasonable price. I'm glad I got one when I did, and would recommend it to any collector.

For the Android 18 figure enthusiast (and that's everyone, am I right?) there is a pretty big selection to choose from and prices that range pretty wildly too.On the lower end you have the Funko pop and on the higher end you'll find the more outrageous, fan-servicey options.The Android 18 Q posket figure is pretty well situated in there at roughly $20.Easily the cutest Android 18 and I'm a fan of that sort of stuff. It's just nice to have around.And it's a good thing that cuteness is so overwhelming or you might be drawn to the fact the figure doesn't really impress with the quality of the material or its feel to the touch. It kind of reminds me of an Amiibo actually, just larger.To me she's not particularly enticing as a collectible, if that means anything to anyone. Unless you are dead set on collecting everything 18, I wouldn't be willing to pay more than $40-ish for it. She's very much middle of the road, but, hey, not everything needs to be looked at so cynically. Sometimes a nice Android 18 is just a nice Android 18 and she's a very cute one.I like it.

Android 18 is so cute and for the price, other stores go for 30 dollars.
