Q: What is the difference between this and the furminator other than the "ejector button" and insane price on the furminator. does the fm work better?

Furminator has chemicals present known to cause reproductive harm and cancer, so the biggest difference is the ethics either company stands for.. otherwise, Ive used both and I enjoy these brushes more, so do my pets.

Q: Does this work on short hair cats?

I LOVE this for my short-hair cat. He always gets horrible mats on his back and this prevents them and breaks them up. He loves to have me use this on him. So does my long-hair cat who does not have mat problems. They don't like any other types of brushes or combs.

Q: Can you use this while taking a bath? or is it recommended for dry fur only?

I would say dry. The fingers are like one side of a hair clipper. I was amazed at how much fur came out my dogs, one has 1/2-3/4" fur and the other has 1-1 1/2" fur. Handfuls with just a few strokes.
