Initial impressions...
But I did receive the stand and wanted to release my initial impressions. I should be getting the keyboard next week and I'll edit my review then. First impressions: The quality of the stand is top-notch; the frame is comprised of tubular metal and the rubber feet are textured and grooved for non-slip performance. The metal cradle utilizes thin strips of foam to support the keyboard gently and presumably to prevent scratching on the bottom of the keyboard. The vertical portion of the stand is braced on a T-frame and seems quite sturdy; there is no danger of buckling in the frame that I could discern. The stand itself is adjustable with a push-button / slide assembly. This is a little hard to slide, but I don't plan on moving it much once I've set it to a height that's comfortable. Heights appear to range from something that would make it easy for a 6-year old to operate the keyboard to a height that would be comfortable for someone who is about 6' tall to operate the keyboard. I'm actually tempted to rig this as a steering wheel platform at its lowest height with the use of a 2 x 4. I'll report on this later as well. Overall, it appears to be a perfect accessory for the RB3 keyboard. I will update my review once I receive it and perform a mock test by tickling the keys a bit. Stay tuned. ** EDIT Received keyboard on 10 / 8 / 2010 ** I received the keyboard and put it on the stand. Played with the keys and simulated some of the warble game play on the keyboard itself. The stand is pretty sturdy, even with aggrssive side-to-side movements. The game won't be delivered until 10 / 26 / 2010, but I still give the stand 5 stars! ** EDIT Stand Modification on 10 / 11 / 2010 ** I would recommend placing the brackets on the stand in the opposite direction then what is shown in the directions. Otherwise, the keyboard has a tendency to "ride up" on the sloped bracket when tickling the ivories. ** EDIT Stand During Gameplay on 10 / 26 / 2010 ** The stand during gameplay does wobble a little, especially when you distort notes with the touch pad during gameplay. However, it never wobbled alarmingly or led me to believe that anything was unstable. The stand help up quite well during 4 hours of gameplay. I stand behind the recommendation to get it, just be sure to modify it as I noted on 10/11/2010.

Great for Yamaha reface, wish it folded
This is a great stand for a reface keyboard. Very sturdy. I see a lot of people play them in a table but I found that uncomfortable. I wish this stand folded. As is it’s fine to stick in the car but it’s not conducive for putting in a bag and walking somewhere, which is a big selling point for the refaces. Surprisingly Yamaha never made a stand, which is probably for the best since it would likely be $150

Overbuilt Keyboard Stand
I was expecting something like the cheap metal sheet music stands with thin triangular legs that wobble when the wind blows. That is not this stand. The whole thing is made of very heavy gauge square tubing that has a thick black powder coat paint job. It's braced and adjustable for height, and even here it's been built with that extra degree of strength. Instead of a simple pin that you pull out for adjustment this has a spring loaded button. The legs are set up like a T and sit on the floor their entire length. No "three tiny points on the floor" like a music stand here. It's also got rubber feet and plugs in the ends of the pipe, and the arms that the keyboard sits on are padded with a fairly thick rubber foam. I spend 99.9% of my time in a semi-reclined position to keep my back from sending me to the hospital,(nerve damage). This forces me to play the keys with the rig on my lap and at an angle. This causes problems with hitting multiple keys at the same time when needed, (it's hard to avoid hitting one key sooner or later than the others) as well as other problems like the keyboard sliding. After looking at the stand and the angle it sits at, I noticed that if the brace is left off, it will slide right up against the couch. It's at a perfect height and distance and should make for a much better playing experience. So even if you play reclined this will work for you. If you play normally, either seated or standing, it also makes an excellent setup. Well worth the $ and useful. If the keyboard was built even half this good it would be an amazing instrument.

Essential for Rock Band 3 Keyboard
The rock band 3 keyboard is a great addition for a great game. Unlike the guitars, however, the keyboard is difficult to play by simply holding it. Until I bought this stand, I had tried to play the keyboard either on the coffee table or on my lap. In both cases, it was difficult to place my hands properly on the keys, and on my lap the keyboard is not stable enough. The stand made from metal parts with some plastic stoppers at the corners. The kit includes all the screws, washers, and nuts as well as a little wrench that you will need to assemble. The assembly instructions are poor (there is only one picture), but the assembly is still easy enough and the parts really ony fit together one way. I think it took about 10 minutes to assemble. The keyboard stand fixes problems of stability and allows you to comfortably place your hands on the keyboard. The foot of the stand is wide enough to be stable on carpet even when you are seriously jamming. Once assembled, the keyboard fits well and does not wiggle much. It creates an infinitely more stable platform when compared to a lap or a coffee table. The keyboard stand also has a button with holes to adjust the height. At full extension, you can play the keyboard while standing. The stand also collapses low enough to allow the keyboard to played on a couch. This is a five-star product. If you have Rock band 3 or plan to get it: you should consider getting this stand if you are also getting the Rock band 3 keyboard.

Not Perfect
I find the stand to be sturdy enough. However the stand has some issues that make keyboard playing slightly less fun. Firstly the stand wobbles a bit, especially when using the FX strip. I cured this by 'tickling' the strip to fill up powermeter. Secondly, the stand wobbles tortionally?[twist wise] I solved this by shoving a safety pin down the tube where it adjusts for height. Thirdly, the stand needed me to add velcro strips to ensure the keyboard would stay in place. And lastly, the plastic feet caps are sharp-edged and needed to be sanded to dull the edges[usually play bare-footed]. Since the keys are so sensitive to misstrokes even the slightest wobble will cause the user to hit the edge of the wrong key when playing at a good clip. So,well not perfect, with some McGuyvering you can fix the problems that really shouldn't be there in the first place.

Finally.. a good YAMAHA REFACE stand
This stand is the absolute best bang for the buck in options for a good YAMAHA REFACE stand. It is sturdy as heck, and the height adjustment is more than enough. Im 6'2 and its perfect. Even at maximum height, theres hardly any wobble, i can play quite aggressively and it sits very still. The only drawback is that it is not terribly collapsible. It only has height adjustment, and does not fold any other way HOWEVER i see this as a plus at this price point because it makes the stand incredibly stable. If youre like me and have been searching far and wide for a stand for the reface series that doesnt cost as much as the keyboard itself, this is it. Get it. Oh and I imagine it supports the Rockband keyboard just fine, i dont know, i dont have the game.

Works for Korg Microkorg
I purchased this hoping that it would work for the MicroKorg so I wouldn't have to buy a more expensive and bulky X frame for the keyboard. I hoped the Korg would fit snugly in between the back piece and the front two pieces, but i was able to use the back piece that slants up to tilt the keyboard into the front two arms, keeping it fairly steady. It's surprisingly about as stable as you'd expect a standard keyboard stand to be. It has adjustable height, which is nice. At the highest setting, it works well for me (about 6 feet tall) because I play electric guitar, and I can have this off to the side for when I need it. There are no hokey logos on it, it looks like a professional stand. I put this together to have the support brace at the rear of the keyboard instead of the front as the default logo shows. I also attached the back mounting brace that slants with the plate of the piece to the rear, instead of over the horizontal brace. That gave me about a half inch more space towards the back. I you had some DIY skills, you could probably adjust the top to fit the keyboard better, but as is, it's been working fine for me. If you're looking for a stand for your MicroKorg, for the price, you can't beat this.

GREAT STAND FOR SMALL KEYBOARDS/OUTBOARD EQUIP.
Great little stand for a small keyboard like the Yamaha Reface series. I bought mine for my PSS A50 keyboard from Yamaha, and it fits like it was designed for this. The front tabs go right into a groove in the bottom of the keyboard, and it fits perfect! Best $29 I've ever spent.

Great buy!
Easy to assemble. More than sturdy enough to support Rock Band keyboard.

Perfekt
Ich hab auch viele LiveKonzerte gespielt. Dieser Key Stand ist professionell, bloß kleiner. Er hält was aus. Der Stand des Keyboards ist solide. Ich werde ihn auch als Moog Stand verwenden.

Quite sturdy and stable!
Surprisingly sturdy stand for the price. I don’t use it it with a Rock Band keyboard but with a small 32 key MIDI controller on stage and works as expected! The height is adjustable and so it can be used at table level as well as standing up!
