I thought nothing would work on my son's soccer shoes. I tried a couple of other brands which did not do much. I tried many ideas on how to get rid of the smell but it's bacteria your dealing with. You do need to wash the shoes in the machine first. I took a few online tips removing the insoles, adding scent boosters and soaking it for a bit in cold water. then wash on delicate with some towels.After that follow the directions I have done it twice so far and it's pretty much gone but as with every product, you need to do for a few times.Love it and you won't be disappointed I should have gone with this as my first choice after reading many online reviews not just what is written on amazon. Hopefully, I can get my money back on the other products.

Works great on my work shoes. I spray on my Friday at the end of my work week. Like another comment says, yeah the shoes can start picking up the permanent odor of the spray but it's not the worst smell and it's a very predictable smell. And yes it smells a bit like shoe odor as well as this spray but again it's predictable and it's not all that bad really. Without it I feel work shoes just progressively get to smelling worse and worse. And that smell becomes unpredictable. With this spray it's problem solved. I bought my can over 3 years ago and I don't even think I'm halfway through it yet. :)

Update 12/1/25: ive continued to use this product cause its just so good even with the bad nozzles ive had experienced . But recently they must have changed suppliers or something cause the last couple cans the spray nozzles appear to be much better. Or maybe they haven’t changed at all and I just got a bad batch of spray heads before. Either way. I’ve had much better results with the current bottles as they get to the end of their capacity. Able to spray it all to the last drop.Original review:Been using it for years. Works great on my work boots and jackets.Smells very good and it does seem to remove odor rather than coverup. No underlying bad smell.One issue is the spray nozzle. They changed the nozzles and it won’t spray very well after 50% has been used. The first 3 or 4 cans I bought in 2023 worked all the way to last drop. The ones I got recently with the new nozzle in 2024 are not good

The product works well, but sometimes I feel that if you spray things a lot, they will start to smell of the spray permanently. Also, if you spray your shoes and your foot starts to sweat, you will begin to smell the spray, which does have a strong smell. It is not a bad smell, but still, it does become obvious. This spray does work well, though. I have used it for around a year and have noticed a significant drop in the smell of my shoes.
