The input plugs into a digital/optical audio output port on the TV. If your TV doesn't support this, then I don't believe there is any solution. It is a digital to analog converter and won't work the other way around.

No, The analog output is in stereo....left and right. Just two speakers. The subwoofer should get signal from the crossover in the receiver.
