feel a bit silly but how do you know which side is which?i got the 180/240 ones&both sides seem very similar?! is the side with the logo the 240grit?

Not a silly question to me. Purchased June 2018, labeled as 100/180, i can't tell the , a big, difference between the two sides.

I'm trying to understand, can anybody explain to me the meaning of the grid, the smaller the grid the finer the file? What the other way around?

240 grit is finer (smaller grains) than the 180 grit (coarser grit). IOW ... 120 is coarse grit and 240 is fine grit. The larger the number, the finer the grit. The finer the grit, the smoother the surface will be after you file it. So if you have a large defect, you would start with say a 120 grit and work your way up to 240 to smooth out the filing marks from the coarser grits.

I have a fungal infection in one of my nails so i want to make sure i could disinfect these. do you wash and disinfect these? what is the easiest way?

These are touted as professional and washable which means that you can use a salon type disinfectant solution to sanitize them in between uses. However you will need to dry the out before using again. Very durable.
