This replaced a traditional metallic walking stick. This is a much sturdy stick, with the 4 prong bottom it's concise and the weight/design gives confidence to my Mum whom uses it to walk down the street.

The cane base is a good idea but the base is uneven and wobbles a bit when placed on the floor. The four legs are not the same length - close, but a bit off. I tried to adjust them and couldn't.

I am so pleased with this quad cane.....no more toppling over....its great.!!!!

Not great. Wasn’t long before it started creaking and loosen up. I’m terrified it will give way soon. It seems to be welded surely a bolt and nut would have been better as on inspection it’s tiny welding. Shame as it looks the business but can’t trust it sadly. Imagine being outside with it !!!!

The stick is nice, looks nice but the product quality could have been better. The stick rattles on the joints and makes noise every time it touches the ground while walking. To add to it the rubber mounts keep coming off. My father fell off coz of the rubber mount coming off. The stick is not worth the price spent on it!

I had meniscus surgery on my right knee and ordered this cane to arrive a few days in advance. I love it. I was lucky in that my recovery went without major pain, but I definitely needed this cane for balance and for reducing the load on my right leg. I never used the crutches I was given in the hospital. And, for some reason, my surgeon gave me a prescription for a single point cane, and I decided, instead, to spend my money on a quad cane. I am glad I did. This Vive cane is stylish looking (I ordered the bronze), easily adjustable and, most importantly for me, the four prong support is great for balance. I live in a 2 story house and decided that instead of moving stuff for sleeping and living to the downstairs during my recovery, I would try to walk up and down the stairs. This cane was perfect for this. The base fit well on the stair steps, it was wide enough to give me reassuring support, especially when going down, where I would place the cane one step down ahead of taking that step with my injured leg. The four point support always allowed me to put weight on the cane while leaning down slightly, without fear of it slipping and throwing me off balance. It isn't clear to me at all why anyone would want a single point cane. I really appreciate also how this cane will remain upright by itself. At night, I would place it in a special place beside my bed, and I could rely on it staying in that position, and upright, if I needed to get out of bed in the dark.

I bought this cane for my elderly mother in March 2018. She sometimes used it when she went out, but she didn't use it in the house. Fast-forward to April/May 2019, she was diagnosed with strep pneumonia that turned septic shock, and she begin walking very unstably. In addition to using the cane when she went out, she began using it in the hospital, the skilled care facility, and presently in her home. It's been a great cane and she really likes the blue color. She's used it so much, lately, that she wore down one of the tips to the metal, and the metal is now exposed and slightly rough due to her dragging it. It would be great if the rubber tips were stronger and lasted longer - is my only complaint about the cane. I called Vive Health and asked if I could purchase cane tips and Grê helped me with such excellent and friendly assistance. She asked me for my order number, and since Amazon is an authorized distributor for them, she was able to look up my order number. She asked me if I registered for the Lifetime Warranty, and I hadn't, so she graciously offered to do it for me. Then, I received an email confirmation that my warranty was activated. She placed an order for four tips for the cane and said they would come free-of-charge, under the Lifetime Guarantee, to my mother's address, where I originally had the cane delivered. I am very impressed with not only the quality of the cane - but that Vive Health has such an excellent warranty - that they honor, and that Grê provided me the knowledge of my warranty, and have the four cane tips shipped to me, FOC. Awesome product - my 13 year-old son is recovering after 4 surgeries following his being hit by a car, riding his bike to school last May. This cane gives him the confidence to transition from the walker he'd been using, in time to go back to school this week. We couldn't get him to use crutches as he didn't feel safe from falling. Nice to have the red color choice, too - he didn't want to look like an old man. The adjuster knob was loose in the box and if I hadn't read the instructions I would not have known to look for it and would have been disappointed/frustrated, not being able to adjust the height. But the knob was easily found in the box and inserted, all parts of the cane work like standard orthopaedic equipment (crutches and walker), as far as height adjustment. So it's a cool-looking cane that is sturdy, easy to adjust and use, and gives my son the confidence to go forth to the hallways of middle school!
