Crayons are not the best, but the rest of the set is good quality. sketch books are great, paper is nice and thick and you're able to use water paint on it and it not bleed through. of course if you use a lot of water it will eventually go through, but for the most part it won't. She really loves the Oil Pastels and water color pencils. My daughter is a beginner artist, so this set is perfect. I would even recommend this set for advance artist as well, set is really nice, well the crayons not so much, but everything else is.
