Not as good as steel but great for short bike rides

Loved it, closure feature, easy to disassemble to clean, good seal minimal leakage, love the cap keeping dirt etc out the spout, only thing is would like if it kept things cold a bit longer, but still, great product, and for the price? A steal

Here are my 2 cents on this Podium insulated bottle by CamelBak: Pros 👍👍👍 - Dirt-Proof: This was the selling point for me. I've tried different bottles in the past, including one from Schwinn. This one worked the best at keeping (most) dust away from the drinking spout 🙌 - Locking Function: No Spills, No Squirts and No Surprises! - Overall, really good fit and finish. Cons 👎👎👎 - Insulation: It's a good idea on paper but in reality it has limited functionality. That's a nice way of saying, it doesn't really work! - A little pricy. My Recommendation 🤔 If you enjoy riding your bike and are tired of ingesting dirt, this bottle is for you! This bottle has served me very well. If anything, I need another bottle cage and second bottle! Can't wait for the next time it goes on sale! Note on Cleaning 🧴🫧🤔 I've seen one review that shows this bottle can get moldy. That was a little concerning to me but I rinse mine with warm water and dish soap after each ride and let it air dry on a rack. Honestly, I haven't experienced any mold or smell in my bottle. I originally got this for my trail rides but I ended up using for work. I work in construction areas, so mostly outside, and I need to hydrate myself during the summer. I took this bottle because it keeps my drinks cool a little longer that just a regular water bottle, and it's lighter that a metal insulated bottle (it does sacrifice how long it keeps the water cool compared to the metal bottles). The dirt cap does an excellent job at keeping mud or sand from the tip. My only complaint is that it's hard to clean, especially inside the cap since it's easy for mold to accumulate if not wash properly. overall I love these bottles for both work and MTB, I have 3 of these.

I've had a couple of these for several years now and recently bought 2 more. The chill series is only marginally better at keeping the liquid cold for longer, but the reap value is in the dirt series cap. I ride gravel and road mix, and my cages get dirty. Like real dirty. And I do not want to drink any of that when I'm out for a 20 mile ride. These bottle has the cap that covers the spout and makes drinking a clean and dirt free experience. Easy to take apart after the ride and quick to clean up with a bottle brush. Great size, durable, and I expect to keep and use these bottles for years to come. I won't go on any of my longer rides without at least one of these bottles.

"Dirt Series" just means that it includes the little mud cap that goes over the spout, but it's a very worthy addition if you ride on gravel or dirt trails. If you already have a Camelbak podium bottle you can purchase the mud cap separately, by the way. Anyway, great bottle, stands up to the dishwasher well (top rack), does a reasonable job insulating, comfortable spout, doesn't seem to dribble if stored on its side with the valve open. If I need a new water bottle for my bike, this is the one I'm buying.
