Absolutely beautiful pelican! Purchased for my mom for Mother’s Day, I know she will love it! She’s a beach LOVER! Every room in her home is beach themed and pelicans are her favorite beach bird! The pelican is not attached when it arrives. There are 2 little holes where the legs go, when I put it together I thought it wasn’t going to fit, I had to gently pull one of the legs over to fit and was worried about it breaking but it didn’t. I think it’s like that on purpose so the pelican stays tightly and doesn’t fall off. My mother will keep her pelican inside but if you purchase to put outside you will definitely need to apply a waterproof sealant on it. It is also lightweight. It’s painted beautifully and made of wood but I’m not sure what kind! Awesome price, definitely worth it! I love the fish in his beak!

Nice size. Living here in Florida next to the ocean my wife has a beach themed spare bedroom. This works for the theme perfectly. The grandkids love it and others have also.

I don’t know what it is about these little birds, but I love them 😂 They have that slightly imperfect, hand-painted look that actually makes them feel more real instead of factory perfect. You can see the brush strokes and texture details up close, and the wood underneath isn’t perfectly smooth, which adds to that rustic look. They’re quite a bit lighter than I expected, but the bases are solid and they stand nicely without wobbling. They’re lightweight enough to move around easily but don’t feel flimsy. The rope detail around the posts is a nice touch and fits the style well. They’re a bit bigger than I expected, which worked out in a good way. They actually stand out on a shelf instead of getting lost in the background. These definitely lean more rustic/coastal decor than modern, so they won’t fit every space, but if that’s your style they’re really cute. I’ve got mine on a shelf and they just make me smile every time I see them. Not something I needed, but something I’m glad I have!

These won’t be finding a home at the Louvre or anything, but they are perfectly nice little decorations to keep around the house. They add a touch of nature and a bit of rustic charm without trying too hard. I have them sitting on a windowsill, although I moved them to a corner table for better lighting when taking photos for this review. Either way, they look right at home; they add a subtle bit of character at the top of my staircase without drawing too much attention. As for the product claims, they do check out. They look and feel like real wood, and the finish has that hand-carved quality the listing suggests. There are some small irregular patterns and variations, which come across as intentional and add to the charm rather than feeling like defects. They’re also fairly lightweight, with a bit of rope wrapped around the post, which is a nice touch and fits the overall rustic look. The only thing that looks a bit off is the eyes; check the close-up photo to see what I mean. Even that isn’t a dealbreaker, though, and doesn’t take much away from the overall look. These are great little home decorations, and I’d recommend them.
