saw a stand today ...effervescent
i like this thing way more than i hate writing reviews or being perceived (and i'm so, so bored), so i’ve been taking some pics and i'm gonna tell u about this thing in way too many words, ok? buckle up, it’s about to get positively mild in herei use this thing LITERALLY every day. u might be like, "literally? u don't even use correct grammar rules or spelling, how can i trust u?" listen to me: firstly, misspelling and breaking grammar rules is a hobby of mine, so shh. and secondly, that's not an exaggeration :( BUT this thing? it's great.i wish i knew some other language so i could wax poetic in multiple languages about this thing. like, who out there knew there were so many things that needed to be held up?? not me until i spent 10 hours a day reading lmaoBUT REALLY i got it a few months ago bc i was hurting my neck when i was working, but now...? now i see its lovely blue color and it settles my soul. i wish i could have another in a different color like lilac, but it doesn't come in that color which is obviously personally heartbreaking (but if it did, u could absolutely bet on me having two of these things, okay? so simple, so useful @ whoever made this, please make one that's a pretty purple color. u can have my money for it)now u might be like, "come on, u would seriously consider having two of these things?? surely this thing MUST have some actual flaws?" shut up, but also, ok. listen. i still give it 5 stars despite this one thing… however…. I WILL SAY……….it struggles with larger textbooks :(you know when you're early on in a textbook, and there's like one flap and two pages on one side, and 753 pages on the other? well, the space between where the bar bends up and the back part is about an inch or so? so yeah, this is gonna be finnicky for that kind of scenario. BUT(1) i feel like most bookstands that use this design (which is.... A Lot of Them) would struggle to hold open a book that's dictionary thick, but I get it. i know sometimes textbooks are an inch and a half thick, and this isn’t ideal for that(2) it's still so good, ok? and if the book stays open by itself without fwooping back closed when u stop holding it down, this would have no problem keeping it upright. how?? WELL, if u don’t need the bar to keep the book open, then the little bar can also lay flat or just hold the bottom of the book.(3) for regular sized textbooks or workbooks, papers, or anything else like that? i believe google translate is telling me that it’s magnifique? it’s hella magnifique. It’s A Good Stand.LASTLY… on the rare occasion when i’m not using it at all (like now when i'm finally writing this passionate love letter to a piece of metal), it folds flat and i can keep it stacked with my notebook :)

Lightweight and sturdy and holds my huge textbooks great!
I love this book stand! I’m a law student and my books are huge, so it was hard for me to find one that worked for me. It’s super sturdy and lightweight. It folds down to be almost complete flat so I carry it in my backpack to go to the library almost everyday. I’ve had other bookstands before that have all broke on me because they couldn’t handle the weight of my books but I love this one! Would definitely recommend to anyone in school right now.

Frees Up Space On My Small Desk
Works great. You can change the angle and allows for me to study from my book while upright and next to my laptop. Recommend for those who have a small desk like me. The picture only shows half of my desk and the other half is practically taken up by my laptop and pencil holder, so this book stand really comes in handy...

EXACTLY What I Wanted!
I wasn't sure if this would work for what I wanted to use it for. I have a very thick and heavy bible and didn't think this was going to work but it did. It is lightweight, very easy to fold and unfold. The bar on the bottom holds the pages perfectly, even on the thick book. This will last for a very long time. The construction reminds me of the music stands we used in high school back in the old days when everything was built tough! lol Also, I never leave a review until I've used the product for some time. This item has held up and I can see it lasting forever. I attached a clip-on, battery operated, light on the top of the holder and it's perfect for my reading. This shipped fast and without any problems. I would purchase from this company again. Their products are worth it.

Meh
I'll be the first one to admit it, what attracted me to this stand initially was the fact that it came in a cute color. What motivated me into buying it is that it's metal. I assumed at purchase that the stand itself would be study and the hinge that kept it standing would be tight. While the stand could potentially hold up heavier objects (thick books, etc.) it's not very sturdy and collapses easily.

Durable, Sturdy, and gentle
It was smaller than what I initially thought it was going to look like. However I have no issues with paper folding over. I like the different levels you can choose from. This is a perk for me depending on my working space (either in my kitchen on my laptop or my office on the desktop). Holds a good amount of papers at once. I was surprised by the weight and that it was actually made of metal. Neither of this things are an issue for me. I find it to be very durable and sturdy and I'm not afraid that I am going to break it compared to the plastic ones. My husband has already stolen it for his cook books in the kitchen. He likes that moveable holder in the front does not damage the pages to the books. The price was quite reasonable considering the plastic ones were $20 or more. If I need another (which I probably will), I will be ordering the same one.

Great price for good value
Was a little leery of this simple device and wasn't sure it would really hold my books, magazines but it is little but mighty! I need to keep my head level due to severe arthritis in my neck which pains me when looking down for any length of time. I am able to read my book/magazine at the table or with the stand sitting on my lap on the couch. It has about 5-6 adjustment angles. I had another larger holder in my "save for later" cart but think this will work to meet my needs. I am considering purchasing a 2nd holder.

Where has this handy little stand been all my life!
I was looking for something to help me keep my planner visible on my desk while I worked (yes, I am a luddite who still uses a paper planner). I came across this stand and it does the job perfectly. But I have found myself borrowing it from my office to use in the kitchen. It is the perfect stand to hold recipes—works to hold the binder of recipes from my mother-in-law, a single printed recipe, and various sizes of cookbooks. It also works well with my iPhone and tablet.Pros:Light weightFolds relatively flat for easy storageFits a plethora of materials—from large heavy books to my iPhoneStable and doesn’t tip (even with heavy, large books)Cute colors complement my decorCons:I haven’t found any yet

I use this in the kitchen and the office. Briliant
I built two prototypes out of cardboard, one in my office for digitizing contracts and old photos, and one in the kitchen for holding an ancient iPad v1 that's just for following recipes. I was going to build something myself, but luckily after some research I found this on the web and I was able to replace both my prototypes with this one thing. The front holder works well in the kitchen to hold the iPad in place. I can crank the angle really low, which is what I found was the most important thing via my prototype. Too vertical and its a pain to see the recipe and scroll. Then you can crank the angle up the other way and pull the holder down completely to take unimpeded pictures of photos or contracts without getting that weird shadow that only shows up on the phone. Also, the high angle keeps the pages from curling while you photo.Anyways, really happy. I don't think I'm using it at all for what it's meant but it is perfect for how I use it.

Desk Book Stand Metal Reading Rest
I really love this book rest. It is exactly as described and sturdy as it should be. It works very well at diverse angles to read the way that is easiest for you to see. I love this so much I bouth one also for my husband and one for my son as we read allot on daily basis and as for myself it's perfect to hold recipes when I'm in the kitchen. Folds nicely and easy to store when not in use. I recommend this very much.

Sturdy, Simple but Still Pretty
The book stand is exactly what I need for multi purpose use. I use it to hold cook books, food magazines with recipes and novels. It stand perfectly on the counter and a table. The metal bar at the bottom holds book and magazines firmly in place and is easy to adjust. Added bonus is the color is even nicer than I expected. I got the yellow. Sorry, I haven't taken a photo but will add later if I'm able. The shipping was very fast. I will be purchasing another one for my 80 year old mother who has difficulty holding books.-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Part 2: I like my book stand so much I ordered another one as a gift for my mother who cooks and bakes a lot. I know she will find it very useful, she just moved into a condo last year and finds the smaller space challenging so this book stand will be perfect since it folds almost flat when not in use.
