If I am being completely honest, the film is not cheap, and the image quality does not come close to what modern smartphones can produce. From a purely technical perspective, there are far better and more affordable ways to take photos. That said, I completely understand the appeal. There is something fun and nostalgic about taking a picture and immediately holding a physical print in your hand. Most importantly, my daughter absolutely loves it. Seeing her enjoy the hobby and create memories with friends makes the cost much easier to justify.
