J. M. Barrie's Peter Pan "Now," said he, "shall I give you a kiss?" and she replied with a slight primness, "If you please." She made herself rather cheap by inclining her face toward him, but he merely dropped an acorn button into her hand, so she slowly returned her face to where it had been before, and said nicely that she would wear his kiss on the chain around her neck. It was lucky that she did put it on that chain, for it was afterwards to save her life... .....Peter tells Tinker Bell to find Wendy and take her back to the hideout while he gets the boys. But Tinker Bell reaches the hideout without Wendy and out of jealousy, tricks the Lost Boys into shooting Wendy with an arrow. Tootles's arrow hits Wendy, sending her tumbling to the forest floor. When the boys reach her, they realize it was not a bird they shot, but a girl. Peter arrives on the scene and when told it was Tootles who shot her, he is about to stab Tootles with an arrow, when Wendy stirs. They realize she wasn't killed as the arrow hit the acorn hung around her neck. This necklace is made with a REAL acorn (about 2,5-3 cm or 1" size) to help you feel like the real life Wendy Darling! Her special kiss necklace saved her life, so I was sure to include the hole from the arrow. Due to this nature, your necklace will be unique and each one looks a little different. It will look similar to the one pictured here though. Some have stems, some do not. The acorn has been dried out for four full seasons and is preserved in its natural state, while the acorn cap has been adhered tightly to the body of the acorn to keep it from falling loose You can choose acorn: with hole or without hole You can choose chain length: 36cm/ 14" (recommended for children); 41cm/ 16"; 46cm/ 18"; 51cm/ 20"; 61cm/ 24"; 76cm/ 30"; 84cm/ 33" (without lock). And you can choose the color of the chain: gold; silver; antique silver; copper; bronze; black. Each piece is unique! One of a kind (OOAK) pieces. Organza gift bag for free!
