Let's start with the good:1. Getting the camera initialized and setup (with WiFi) seems relatively easy and straightforward (if it works; see con list below).2. Once connected, the image quality on the iPhone was quite nice.3. I like the options for local image capture and recording. This can be done to store on an external SD card or directly on my phone if I want to record something on my device at that instant.4. Though I haven't tested this, the feature for alarms based on motion detection, including FTP and mail are a nice addition. I'll likely try these out once I move the camera to monitor the front porch.Now the not so good:1. Initially, the app would go through the setup process and when everything was done, it would crash when I clicked "Finish". Subsequently, the camera I just added and setup in the app was never there. I tried the same process 4-5 times using their suggested approach, including fully resetting the camera but that didn't help. Eventually, I restarted the phone, installed some pending updates, and uninstalled/reinstalled the app to give it one last shot. This time, it worked.2. The response of the camera to commands from the app, even while I'm on the same local network, was really bad. There's a good 3 second delay between what's actually happening in the room and what I see on my screen. With no other network traffic, this seemed a bit poor to me.3. Audio quality is also a bit on the poor side. I couldn't hear much of what was happening in the room being monitored, even though the sound source was pretty close to the camera.4. Small point but the installation guide and the software options don't seem to match up. This might be since they updated the software recently (which is nice to see) but some of their software options are not obvious (e.g. they have Z+, Z- and F+, F- buttons on the preview screen). One might assume that Z is for zoom but it doesn't seem to do anything at all.Please Note: I received this product at a discounted price in return for my honest and unbiased review.

worked fine until we had a power outage. When the power came back on, I uninstalled the app on my smartphone, then reinstalled it, went through all the set up steps again, and again and again. The camera spins around like it setting up, heard the doorbell, scanned the qr code, also typed in the code many times and I keep getting the same messages that It won't to make a long story short. Tried to call support many times, and no luck their. KGUARD support just does not want to answer or help. I will never buy this camera again!!

This camera is wireless, has a quick setup, microphone and motion detection on it. At first glance it is tiny, not too invasive with bracket and plug in electrical power. Once hooked up I was able to get a whole room view and able to scan the room via a tablet and see everything going on. I was also able to speak and be heard through the camera on the other end. You can communicate, and depending on options you can have “Quality Priority” or “Speed Priority”. Quality improves your video but slows down the process, like microphone and movement. Speed improves the movement a bit but microphone still lags.I was able to access the camera while out, to test and see if it would work remotely and sure enough was able to pick up our camera. I would advise though, as with anything that is computer and Wi-Fi related, to change the password. Update to a very strong password, so you have peace of mind.I knocked a star off for the microphone. It is pretty good, but when communicating to the other person on the video side will have to wait to tell you their response after a 5-7 second delay. Otherwise you will not hear what they are saying but see their mouths moving and catching the last tidbits of the conversation. This happens even on the slower speed setup.Also, the setup directions on how to change time/and or date were not correct. The manual has it saying that there is a number or setup wheel next to the “i” button, this was not the case for our setup. It was the “i” itself that was the button for time/date change. This would be nice if it was updated to the correct information. Took a few minutes of hunting to figure it out, and I am sure others had the same issue.Overall a good camera with a few flaws but good none the less. If you need a simple, easy and quick to install Wi-Fi camera, or monitor, this one is a good choice.**I received this product either for free or at a discount in exchange for an honest and unbiased review**

Camera will not connect. Everything is setup correctly, reached out many times, no answer from their support team, no refunds either. Just terrible. If you look online this is a VERY COMMON problem with these cameras, and there appears to be no solution in sight. Really disappointed in this purchase. Thank god I bought an Amazon guarantee warranty.

You cant find the icon anywhere in the app store like on the directions. All the info on it is from 2018.
