Can someone please compare this saw to silky? 270-33 zubat professional hand saw, 330mm, large teeth $59.99. the silkys are great but can bend.

I have used both. I would say the silky zubat stays sharper for longer. Though I like that Samuel Ichiban does not bend when cutting.

Blade is tapered away from teeth to prevent it getting bound in what you're cutting, meaning that the teeth are thicker than the thinner spine. It is around 1.2-1.3 mm's thick at the teeth, tapering to around .9 mm at the spine.

What is its tpi(teeth per inch)? and what is the difference between this ichiban and the samurai ichigeki(also 13in)?

The biggest difference is the Ichiban has a tapered blade while the Ichigeki, also called the Sumo has a straight blade. The Ichiban has a finer tooth pattern at 6.35 per inch while the Sumo is 5.62 per inch. The Sumo is a large, monster saw while the Ichiban will make a finer, smoother cut. We don't sell the Sumo but have the C330LH which is also a heavy duty, non tapered blade saw with 6.35 teeth per inch. Hope this helps.

What is the difference between this saw (gc-330-lh) with the green handle vs. the "heavy duty" version (c-330-lh) with the red handle?

It has more teeth on it. But I tell you you will not be upset with this song just think of is through everything like butter very impressive
