I’m 5’4” 175 lbs. would a 34” waist be to big or small? I wear a 33-34.

For me the waist sizing was fine (38"). Slight adjustment in the tie in back. Comfortable fit, good length in thigh. But I'm 6', so I'd suggest checking inseam. I did have a slight issue that the seller was very proactive about and resolved asap. 5 star service and I loved the product

Should I use my regular pant size when ordering these or is it best to take an actual measurement?

I would measure the actual circumference of your favorite/best fitting pair of pants and use that. My boyfriend's pant size was a little different than the actual measurement of the pants.

Where are these made?

I did look inside but there was no country of origin tag ......surely the info on the Amazon site to purchase OR Amazon direct can tell you !

The 34" waist long version fits well except about 2"-3" too big around waist. (I'm a 32"-34" waist slim 157lbs)Will the 32" short version fit better?

I do not own a long version, only a short version. My short version fits me perfectly. I have a 36" waist (167 lbs.). However, the trachten lederhosen that I purchased was a 38" waist, not a 36". The reason for the slightly larger size is because suspenders are used instead of a belt. The pants should fit loose so as to suspend rather than fit snugly as with a belt. Hope this information is helpful and is only my own opinion.
