After one use, the plastic plunger that is supposed to stay in place to push the cookie dough out slipped up the rod and now instead of pushing out the dough, the dough pushes the plunger up the shaft. So no dough will come out. I was not even able to bake an entire batch of cookie because it broke after I only got through half the dough.

I'm very happy that work very well but desreption it was from stainless steel but on the middle rusty all the tine before I use I need clean up first because that danger and unhealthy for foods. After clean up is fine but always stand by paper towel because that need clean all the time after used.

I have not had a chance to make cookies with my new cookie press. I received it fast ,just a matter of a couple of days. It looks to be very well made . I will make cookies this week end for my Grand daughter.I will then add to my comment .

This cookie press is great! The fact that it can double as an icing gun is even better. My wife does a lot of baking and I got this as a gift for her. I like that it is all metal. That makes it extremely rugged for this sort of thing. Most others on the market are plastic, and tend to break easily after a few uses. This one is steel and aluminum so it is sturdy and won't rust.The only caveat I would give for this design (there are others like it on Amazon) is that there is a little aluminum spring loaded rivet which holds the stroke limiter in place (the little tabbed piece with 1 and 2 stamped in it). If this piece is not well crimped, it will fail and pop inside the gun. Honestly, the gun could be used entirely without it, as it only makes the difference between 4 notches or 2 with each stroke of the lever, which can be done with adequate control on the user's part. However, I was able to get a replacement at no cost in three days, so you know the vendor stands behind their product.In practice, there are plenty of plates which give an excellent variety to the shape of the cookies that can be made, and with 4 icing tips, it can also decorate after they are baked! The capacity of this gun is also pretty good. Depending on the thickness and spacing of each one, this gun will produce about half a tray of cookies in one go and it's not difficult to fill.There are a wide variety of cookie presses available on Amazon, and this one falls in the middle of the price range for this type. This tool is super cool and easy to use. It comes with a variety of shaped nozzles and funnels that allow beautiful designs. I've never been very adept at baking but I am very proud of the cookies I make with this press because they come out looking so lovely. In terms of ease of use, it's very intuitive but the little instruction booklet is helpful if anyone needs to reference it. I also got an offer to download a recipe booklet which was great.

My 13 years old daughter loves baking cookies but always make them free hand. We got this cookie press to try to make some professional looking cookies. I let her figured out how to use the press and she did. And then she was having fun with the 20 different plates like playing with playdoh. There are shapes for everything like Christmas tree, heart, flowers....Finally she settled on making thumbprint cookies and they are adorable looking and tasty too. Make sure you follow their instruction hand washing the parts only.
