Review: Well worth the extra few £s over the cheaper offerings out there - These are the best milligrams scales I've ever owned. They seem accurate, sensitive, and more importantly, consistent. Obviously they're not going to be as good as an expensive certified scale, but these are the best ones you can find at this kind of price point. So unless your life depends on milligram level accuracy, these should see you well. I consider mine trustworthy enough to weigh out 10-200mg of nutritional supplement powders accurately for my pet rats, but would be very wary of doing so for potent medications. I'm also comfortable with using when hand-loading general shotgun and rifle loads to cut down the time spent waiting for the balance scales to settle, although I would always want to cross-check them before starting and at random intervals during a reload session to be sure. I particularly like the in-built storage slot for the calibration weight. When weighing very small amounts I always calibrate it prior to starting (allowing it a couple of minutes to warm up). The removable wind shield is also a nice touch as this thing is sensitive enough to register a light breeze. It is a lot higher build quality than the slightly cheaper ones I've been using before, it feels sturdy, and the silicone skin makes me feel that it will be able to shake off the odd bump. The tactile buttons are much better than the membrane ones on cheaper offerings, and I assume they will still be intact and work after a lot of heavy usage without being subject to worn printing and holes. The screen is nice and bright with more than enough contrast to permit it to be easily read in bright sunlight. I haven't had to change the batteries yet, I expect they will probably go for years, but the fact that they take AAAs removes the need to find fresh coin cells when they will invariably run out after the shops are closed... I've used these scales reasonably regularly now for several months, and they have never given me any cause to suspect that their accuracy (and more importantly their consistency) has faded. Consistency and sensitivity is what normally lets the cheaper electronic scales down, especially with very tiny weights, but I still find these to be both accurate and consistent while remaining sensitive enough to measure by the mg or grain with reasonable confidence for my use cases. I have a traditional shooter's powder balance as well which is accurate to 1/20 of a grain (just over 3mg). The two seemed to match up pretty well when I first compared them, so I'm happy that it's accurate enough for my purposes, I can't recall how exactly they compared, but I remember being impressed. One of my preferred tests with these kind of scales is to gradually add or remove tiny pieces of tissue paper (significantly lighter than 1mg each) one at a time. Cheaper scales usually jump by several mg at a time after enough pieces are added or removed instead of incrementing 1mg at a time as it passes the threshold. These scales displayed minimal tendency to do that and seem to be capable of the claimed 1mg sensitivity most of the time. Once I've weighed out say 5 or 10mg of tissue, I then remove it in one go to see if it returns to zero, then add it back in one go to see if it returns to the previous measurement. Most cheap scales do not handle this very well, usually giving different readings each time. These scales performed very well in these tests. I haven't compared their accuracy to the powder balance recently, but I would guess they will still be pretty close. I base this on the fact that they still increment by 1 or 2mg as I'm adding powder even from zero. All told, I'm very impressed with these scales. Mine have been excellent. I suspect that the manufacturing consistency will be the weak point in items of this price, so you may be unlucky and get a "Friday afternoon" unit, but most of the reviews seem to be positive, so I'd definitely take a chance on another set if I needed to. Hopefully the seller would accept a return or exchange if an iffy unit reached a customer. Don't bother wasting your money on a £5-15 set of scales; buy these instead. You (hopefully) won't regret it.
Review: Well made and accurate - This seems really well made and the check/calibration weight is a nice addition for confidence in measurements. It displays to 3 decimal places but I only need 2 at most so it's overkill and not sure about the accuracy at the milligram range. But every time I use the check weight it's within a couple of mg so seems accurate and reliable. The cover is a nice addition and important if you are really trying to make use of the 3 decimal position accuracy due to air flow interference.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good enough for me
*by D***D on 6 September 2023*

I bought this for weighing tropical fish food. I needed this scale to weigh 0..01g portions but if you tare the scale with the supplied 'boat', it does not register until 0.025g or more has been added. So, for low weights or the pcs calculation, this will not work. I use this by: 1) Warming up the device for a couple of mins 2) Calibrating the device with the 50g weight 3) Pressing the Tare button with nothing on the balance 4) Placing the supplied 'boat' on the scales 5) Recording the weight of the 'boat' 6) Adding the fish food until the required weight is achieved, i.e. (food weight) + (boat weight) - (boat weight) Based on my testing, precision is suitable for weighing 0.01g. I hope this helps. 09/02/2025 Update: This Scale has proved reliable for 18 months - even after an accidental soaking of the display - I left it for 2 days to dry out, after which it worked normally! The tare is unreliable but just put your weighing boat/ container on the scale and switch the scale off and on again as a workaround - you don't then need to use the method outlined above.
