Great tone & great strings!
Only downside; They did not make me play like DG. But other than that you get a great tonal range from these strings especially if you're using on a Fender Stratocaster.I use them on my American Professional II Stratocaster and I really like the feel and quality especially when bending... Again these won't make you play like DG but hey, what else can???

Bendy strings, great sustain. Good for Floyd style solos.
I can definitely see what Gilmour would use this particular set, they have such a smooth bend, and a crisp tone that sustains for a long time. I was just looking for a set for my new HSS strat, and David Gilmour's name sold me on this one. I've bought 5 packs of these now, I definitely like them. One bad thing, they seem to wear out a little quicker than other strings and loose that super crisp tone faster than I like. They're cheap though, so you'll have to weigh out if that's worth it yourself!

a good set to keep on hand
Bright, brash, projecting, and easy on the fingers. Bends, pulls, pushes, hammer-ons and snap-offs all apply with ease. I purchased the .010 for personal preference.

The “G” string isn’t wound
I was looking for a set with wound G string

GHS is the only way to go!
I have been using GHS Boomers since 94’. These are the only strings that I will use. I started using the DG signature set since the set was released. I also used the EJ set when those were around. Now all my guitars are strung with the DG signature set.

Good strings
I recently put these strings on my Gibson Les Paul and am happy with them. Definitely brightened up the sound of the guitar. Great price for good quality strings!

I forgot how good GHS Strings were.
I hadn't ever used GHS electric before, and not in this gauge. I had started using GHS about 40 years ago though in acoustic strings. Anyway, I wanted to try something different on my American Deluxe Strat. I must admit I was really impressed with these strings. The offset sizing of the strings are different compared to what I'm used to, but very comfortable. Gilmour started using these in 79. The gauges of the strings are 0.10 -0.12 -0.16 - .0.28 -0 38 - 0.48. He uses this size on his Strat . Anyway, they bend well, and have a good bright sound. They are light enough to bend, and stiff enough to chord and pick. I've had a set on mine now about a month and played daily, and haven't needed to change them yet. And you sure can't beat the price. According to the package, it says Gilmour uses GHS on his Les Paul too, in gauges .10.5, .13, .17, .30, .40, .50.. I haven't tried them on my LP yet.. But I will, and will post a review when I do.. Likewise when I try them on my PRS. Already have them on my Telecaster. If you haven't tried these, give them a shot. For the price, I don't think you'll be disappointed. I wasn't. And just FYI, I posted a review on the GHS Bright Bronze acoustic. They sure made a difference on my Taylors..

Silky
Silky is the word that comes to mind when I play these strings. These blue pack strings are best for passive pickups (Gilmours' black strat ) and the red pack strings are for Gilmour active pickups like his red stratthat is my understanding at least. These blue pack strings are full of tone and do come alive when you get on it. In contrast, when I play Fender strings,I think of the word chirpy, which is nice too. These blue pack strings are silky and lush,a nice variety to have, but i blab on.

GHS strings have been good to me, how about you?
Hi. I used D'addario strings for years, but then they started to break on me. (Maybe that's why D'addario starting issuing those more expensive variants of strings). Also, I had some Ernie ball strings break, but not as often. Ernie's are dang good. For the price, GHS strings are just fine, and as for this unusual gauge of strings 10.5 - 50, it's great that Dave Gilmour endorsed them, but it could have been Bozo the Clown for all I cared. A cool set of strings, these 10.5-50, that I keep onhand for two of my guitars, a strat and a Mosrite copy. Return to the mothership, Putin and Trump.
