I would tend to think it is made of nylon blended with polyester-cotton. The color is green Army so it is perfect for camouflage if you are an hunter or birds/ animals observer for example. Good for men or women with narrow calves though. I find them a bit low as they do not cover the knees so one hopes snakes attack only the protected ankles. It covers half of the foot top. Remember that if you go through snakes infested areas, it is indispensable to have top steel boots for the best protection. These gaiters are maintained in place thanks to elastics, a zipper and straps. A buckle attachment passes under the shoe so they will not move. These are very resistant, easy to take care of if you go through muddy places: just let them dry and brush.
