**Q: will this tear easily?**
A: Difficult to define "easily".  They made it through 2 BiddyBasketball seasons.  Depends on how abusive the wearer is. They did not fit all sizes, though.  Not recommended for large bodies.

**Q: Is this good for either men or women?**
A: Hi  this will work for either men or women.  It has elastic and velcro  on the side and is suitable for a med. size adult.  I used them for my U5 Soccer program and I am very happy with this purchase.
