Does your midi controller affect the quality or realism of the samples aside from velocity and authenticity of having weighted keys?

The experience of playing a sampled piano like the Synthogy Ivory 2 is a combination of the piano samples, how you set them up and tweak them, and the quality of the MIDI controller. They all work together as an experience that simulates playing a real piano.Sam Kanterwww.keyboardcollective.com

How does it compare to the Steinway D on the Ivory Pianos II?

I'm not sure about your question, I own an Ivory II American Concert D. I played it on a lower end Roland digital and the sound is good enough . Realistic ? I'd rather buy an acoustic Steinway if I had the money.
