We have a horrible smell coming from our vent pipe in our home. Any chance these would help with a home septic system?

What's coming out of your house pipe is the very gasses that the P traps are designed to keep out of the inside your house. The water trapped in the P trap keeps septic gasses from coming up from the septic and out of your sinks drain. The pipe also facilitates air to enter the system when you flush etc. Otherwise the vacuum of flushing would draw the water out of the P traps. Try Rid-x to help your bacteria in your septic, and you could dump some of these if they are scented, just to help the smell. Otherwise, have a bbq and invite a variety of large mammal buddies. That should help with the bacterial variety in the tank itself. TIP: to help keep black tank odors from coming into your camper, always add some water to the bowl and sinks (p traps). This prevents fumes from coming up into the camper instead of up the vent pipe.
