Great for the beginner gardener. I was shocked that I could get things to grow in it. Looking forward to growing more veggies and herbs.

With this design all of the pvc is connected together in a way that won't correctly direct the water. It just goes down the side with the hose and runs onto the floor. There's no caps on the pvc legs. Some water might run across the top row and drain onto the floor through the legs but nothing in the middle or bottom will get any water to them with no caps on the ends or any way to correctly direct the water. It's useless except for making a mess on the floor. You would have to plug or swap most of the T joints with L joints and plug several of the pipes off and then cap off ends to make it actually work. I bought this for a prototype, put it together and looked at all of the design flaws and laughed at the thought this was actually being sold anywhere! Now I know how to not build a pvc hydro unit. I'll keep and fix it anyways. Also you'll want a better pump if you want water to actually make it up the tube. Nice idea and a horrible design.

You need end caps for the leg ends. Otherwise the water runs down them and all over the floor

I love that it is horizontal. This is easier for root trimming than my other vertical hydroponic system.It comes with a water pump with timer functions. You just need to purchase a water reservoir container. I purchased some grow light strips to add to the system.Tip: The system is on 3 legs and I have knocked it and water was spilled everywhere! To avoid this, I used food grade silicone glue and made sure to glue the three legged base feet together vs. just snapping in place.
