Very, very good with a few small challenges
This is my first earbud type headphone device at this price point. You would think that the 80-100 dollar earbuds I have owned in the past would at least be comfortable and have decent sound but, no, not in my experience.I have never, ever had earbuds in my ears that didn't start hurting after only 15 minutes, so that is the number one thing I value with these. Once you get them situated, which was a bit confusing at first because the buds don't look like they will go into your ear properly, they fit extremely well. It's best to put the earbud in first and then pull your ear out to maneuver the clip onto your ear. The clips can bend but I didn't need to or want to try that. The top edge of your ear lightly rests against the top edge of the clip just enough to hold it in place while not putting a lot of pressure on the earbud in your ear canal. I also prefer to place the wire to the front of my neck instead of the back mainly because I have long hair and even tied up it tends to get tangled. The right and left markings are hard to see; they are imprinted on the white base of the earbud rubber piece. It's easier to just know that the control bar goes on your right. I've taken some pictures. The range is excellent on these; I walked 30 feet away with no cutting out. While working out in different environments 1-2 hours at a time the sound cut out for a split second about 2-3 times on average, which is about the same as I experience when streaming music at home to my Jambox.I expected a lot of these and they delivered for the most part, but there are a few things I want to mention as cons:--Controls are small, too close together, and very hard to press in. I luckily have strong nails and use my thumbnail for the best maneuvering. I think a man with large fingers might have a problem with these control buttons. For the times I'm using cardio equipment I leave my Nano out and use the controls on that instead of the earbuds, much easier.--The sound, while the best I have experienced with Bluetooth earbuds, is not rich and deep, and out of the many EQ presets my Nano and iPhone offer, only the Pop setting has the fuller sound I like. If your device has an equalizer that you can manually control (if there is such a device) and you are adept at using it then you may be able to get the optimum sound quality out of these. I cannot get the bass to the level I like but at least the sound is not tinny. I'm willing to sacrifice sound quality for not having to deal with wires while working out, it's only 1-2 hours at a time, easy to deal with. I would not use these just walking, or sitting at home listening to music when wires are not much of a burden.--A small annoyance, but hard on my sensitive ears, is that if you click the volume up button when the volume is already at its highest setting, there is a very loud beep, much louder than the highest volume itself.Overall I am very happy with these. If any issues come up I will update.

And the search continues...
Wireless earphones suitable for strenuous exercise have become my own personal holy grail. I've burned up Beats in one day, Bose in 45 minutes, and now Panasonic in two days. After the first 80 minute cardio workout that ended with me looking like a soaked rag, I was building up hope that my search had ended, as the earphones never missed a beat, sounded really good, and I had not even bothered to fit them properly. There was a little feedback noise from the flat cable when pounding on the treadmill, but I didn't have a great fit, so it was acceptable. I followed this workout with some strength training, without bothering to put on the larger ear pads and there was some slippage, but I figured I would fit them later that evening and really test them out the next day.So that evening I spent some time trying out the provided ear pads and got a tight fit in both ears. The next morning I was rewarded with greatly reduced cable feedback and I was getting pretty psyched that my search was over as I completed the cardio portion of my workout with an absolutely soaked t-shirt and a still operational set of headphones that were performing quite well. I remember thinking that they were definitely keepers. That was probably the mistake, because as I was doing some cool down exercises with a medicine ball, the earphones made a nice "pop" sound, and that was the end of my WINGS experience. So I'm thinking, "How could this be?". First, I have Panasonic products throughout my house and they never die. I have "re-cycled" 20 year old Panasonic CRT TVs that were still working fine. I have 3 Plasma TVs in my house, one of which has been around for a decade without any problems. Each with the Panasonic logo on them. That was why the 90 day warranty didn't worry me a bit, as I figured I would give out before a Panasonic product.Second, the Panasonic Wings are advertised as IPX5 certified. Unfortunately, the devil is in the details. IPX5 just says the device can stand up to water jets (think shower) for 3 minutes. The lower IPX grades have a max time limit of 10 minutes, which I didn't know about until after the earphones kicked the bucket.I have purchased IPod shuffles that have been waterproofed. My daughter spent hours in a pool when she swam in college listening to one with no issues. That shuffle came with waterproof earphones and cost about half what I have been spending on these wireless headphones that are advertised as suitable for "heavy" exercise, but have not lasted beyond 2 days with what I would consider pretty tame usage. There is a WINGS set you can buy that have a Spartan logo on them for goodness sake. There is no way these things could realistically make it through a Spartan event. Can nobody actually build a wireless set of earphones that can stand-up to an old man with genetics that lean toward heavy sweat? So here I sit, back to wired headphones with no microphone, waiting to see if Bose makes good on their supposed fix coming in August. I will anxiously wait to find out whether its true or just more marketing. And to be fair, I have never tried the J-birds or whatever they are called.

Look great, fit great, work and sound great
At first, it took a few tries with these feather light headphones to get the hang of fitting them on and in my ears. But once I did, these sleek, high-quality wireless Bluetooth sport clips were — and are — well worth the effort and price. The comfort is great and the sound is even better. The flex bands that wrap around the ears and the quick-fit adjuster provide a reliably secure fit to keep the music clear and flowing while running on treadmills at the gym and walking outside. The blue edge-lit LEDs are, by the way, a very cool feature when walking after dark. Three super-soft ear pad sizes — S, M and L — were included to ensure a snug fit in the ears and work well for dampening ambient noise. Once fully charged (simple to do with a laptop, it takes about an hour and a half with the included USB charging cord), pairing the BTS50s to my iPhone took just a few seconds. For some reason my new iPod nano needed several attempts to finally recognize their existence. Once synced, though, the sound came through beautifully on both devices and I've averaged about 5 and a half hours of music per charge. I sampled a few different EQ settings with my phone and nano to set the right balance of bass and treble to my taste. I've not yet had occasion to subject my BTS50s to rain but they handle gym-generated sweat just fine. A dry towel wipes them clean them in a snap. Compared to my other sports headphones (Sennheiser MX685 Adidas Sports In-Ear Headphones) the Panasonic BTS50s look great, fit great, work and sound great. Plus, they really do stay put. I definitely recommend them.
