hand2mind Plastic Cuisenaire Rods Individual Set, Math Manipulatives, Montessori Math Rods, Math Counters, Math Blocks, Counting Blocks, Montessori Math, Fraction Bars, Number Rods (Set of 74)

I was surprised they're made of plastic, because they look and feel almost like painted wood. They seem to be cut of a full square rod (not empty inside) but they are light. Even the sound they make against each other is almost like wood. It seems like they can be washed in water and would last forever. The size is 1 cm (13/32 inch) square, which, I believe, is the original size. The smallest blocks are just 1 cm cubes which is smaller than regular dice, and will be a choking hazard to very young children, so it's generally not for children below 3 years old. The set contains 74 blocks, including four each of the longer sizes (10 to 5 cm), 6 x 4 cm, 10 x 3 cm, 12 x 2 cm and 22 x 1 cm. This is good size set to let children learn colors, quantitative relationships, sizes, numbers, adding and multiplying. The small size makes the set very transportable as they fit in a very small bag. It would still be fun to also have a jumbo version of this set, because your genius kids may be ready to learn math at much younger age than three.

The color quality is good. Sturdy plastic. Does not dent when dropped. I glued them together for a math demonstration.

this made math simple and effective like my baby can do math operation just so fast. Very sturdy buy 2 packs

These were very good. My only recommendation is that the size be noted on them. Otherwise sturdy and colorful!

The children and I love these math tools/toys. They're great for counting in math but great for building too. The children enjoy the texture and colors of them.

I love these! The size is easy to work with, especially if you’re transporting them back and forth. I love how many came in the package. So glad I got them!

I love these, and so does my 5 year old daughter. You can do so many creative games and teach many aspects of early math while having a fun time. My daughter used to always ask to play with them (favorite toy) until one sad day when she left them out in the sun and they melted and warped. Use and enjoy, but don’t let them get too warm!

My students desperately need to get their hands on tools to better understand how numbers work. Am excited to use these to teach them how to make part to whole models and tape diagrams for addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. There are no numbers in the rods, students need to figure that out. It takes away the automatically using memorized facts and forces them to move the blocks around. In each kit was a total value of 270. There are 4 orange (ten), 4 blue (nine), 4 brown (eight), 4 black (seven), 4 teal (six), 4 yellow (five), 6 lavender (four), 10 lt. green (three), 12 red (two), and 22 white (one).

Son muy útiles sabiendolas usar, además de que funcionan mejor mientras más se usen como juguetes.

Great learning tool for toddlers.
