As for the seat itself i give it a 10/10. My son was only 4 months when we got this seat. We got it because he is on the bigger side and his infant seat was too snug he always cried whenever he was in it. Ever since we switched to this seat we’ve had no problems at all. Its super comfy, really nice modern look and super easy to install! Doesnt take up too much room so thats a plus. Definitely recommend getting this seat once baby passes the newborn stage. I only think its best to wait until a few months old because when they are newborns babies sleep ALOT and its just easier if you have an infant seat so you can leave them sleeping in the seat and take the seat out to attach to a stroller or just to hold. This seat is meant to stay in the car and if you have an infant you would have to constantly buckle and unbuckle them. So this seat is definitely worth every penny and seems to be very safe for my 6 month old. Update: my son is 3 and we are still using this carseat. Zero issues and its very easy to remove the padding for washing. It recliners and has a part that slides out so his feet can stretch forward instead of always hanging down. My daughter sometimes goes in it and it can adjust to her height as well.
