You are not going to believe what I use this for. I live in a mobile home park and nearly once a year I have a possum to take up residence under my house. I have paid exterminators between three hundred and four hundred dollars each time to get rid of them over the years. This last one really set up a stink right under my bedroom. I could always tell when he/she was there because it smelled so bad. I finally used my head and took a hint from "Riddex" which plugs into the wall to get rid of mice, rats, and roaches. It repells them by making a nuisance of itself. It repeatedly blinks for a while indicating that it is sending a repetitive "sound" over the wires in a pattern... and then it pauses. The pause gives much needed relief... but then it does it all over again. That is the annoyance. So I set this Megaphone on the police alarm and placed it face down on my floor vents and did the same thing. I would turn it on and off, on and off, then pause, and do it again. I had to do it for about five minutes every day for about four or five days, but it made the possum finally leave and it has not come back. Now my megaphone sits in silence... just waiting for the next one to show up. This has been the cheapest, safest, and fastest way to get rid of a possum that I have ever seen. It does not harm the critter, but it gets it out from under my house. Oddly enough my neighbor called and wanted to know if I had gotten rid of my possum, because now he had one. I told him what I had done, and I hope he got rid of his, too. He has not said.

Consider that i did pay $20 for it and that the regular price seems to be around $42. i was pleasantly surprise with this gizmo's power!!! i am giving it 4 stars because it is not made for rough use. the buttons are slightly flimsy and i am sure if i am not careful they will break. it is not an item i would allow kids to play with because just watching how my grandchildren wanted to record and play so many times in a row made me take it away after a couple of minutes. That said i find it is EXCELLENT small megaphone with quite a powerful volume and very nice extra features. it was very funny for the kids to hear my voice call their name and not knowing where it was coming from. the recording feature works well and clear. i am very happy with the product and would highly recommend it. it is plastic and durable with a fairly good sturdy casing, the buttons are somewhat flimsy, still made with "china" quality. if you are looking to use it with moderate care i think it will be ok. i would not just throw it around though. i just need some crowd control when all the kids are visiting and are playing outside because i want to be able to call their attention or discipline them, without raising my voice or yelling because they are a distance.

Much better product than I expected for the price. The only real draw back is if you don't plan on using it very often, take the batteries out. I went 2 week's without using it and the batteries died. But when I took them out between extend uses, they have lasted months. The release button for the batteries is a bit tricky, just be mindful not to hit it accidentally. The range in rather extensive. I was literally heard blocks away! Durable as well. I dropped it on concrete and it didn't even crack. And the siren is a lot of fun. over all, I would highly recommend this product and this seller!!! Fast delivery and exactly as described.

Waaaay, way more quiet than I thought. This is like the same volume as my kareoke mic. It absolutely does not travel as far as it said it did. Disappointed!

Works very well for calling kids in after recess- plenty loud. I don't really use the record/play feature, but it does work. Batteries seem to last pretty well. I wish it had a "trigger" to turn on to speak, but that's about the only thing I'd change. Several other teachers have order one after seeing mine...

Overall, it's a great item for the price. However, there are two major issues with it: 1) The battery latch is useless. Since it uses D batteries, the weight of them naturally pushes against the latch from the inside when you hold up the megaphone. Since the latch is merely a flexible piece of plastic, the pushing force from the battery will pop open the back and out comes everything. Doesn't require much force or jostling from normal usage to see it pop open. Terrible design. Needs a better latch. 2) The microphone has very low sensitivity. If you mouth isn't resting on the microphone slot/hole, nothing comes out. Either keep it right on your mouth or yell louder for it to work correctly. When it does hear you, the quality is pretty good. Just annoying to hold it like that. Besides the above problems, it's a great deal. It's loud, it's pretty clear and it's lightweight. For the price, expected just a tiny bit more with it's construction.

THIS IS AWESOME!! It's loud and has a slider for volume settings. It has a police siren on it too, which my friend actually played out the window while I was driving and I think we accidentally pulled someone over (needless to say, this is illegal to do and we have not made that mistake since!). I bought this device originally for recruitment events with my sorority; on a big campus you need to be LOUD. Now, is this the loudest megaphone on the market? NO. If you are trying to speak to hundreds of people, well, I would question how well you could be heard. However, if you're in a crowded area trying to advertise a product or organization, or run some sort of game, this will probably do the job! Even so, the siren and musical tune settings will help you run a game as well, as they are LOUD. All in all, for about $11, this is a pretty sturdy, very useful device. I think the quality surpasses the price paid. One issue I had though was trying to find the proper batteries... what the instructions say is not what these batteries are labeled anymore, at least in the USA. I will update the review when I look at the batteries to inform anyone of what they are. They are VERY large.

J'ai acheté cet engin pour lutter contre un de mes voisins indélicat qui ne veut pas comprendre que son chien provoque des nuisances dans le voisinage. Comme la municipalité est molle à agir pour faire rétablir les droit à la propriété,, que le voisin refuse d'obtempérer en prétendant qu'il a droit d'avoir un chien chez lui et qu'un chien abois, je lui rétorque par mégaphone que j'ai le doit aussi de ne pas avoir de chien et que j'espère pouvoir jouir de ma propriété dans le silence. Je peux vous dire que c'est très efficace. Surtout pas beau temps et que son chien m'emmerde. Alors celui-ci s'exécute à mes ordres. Et mon voisin ne sait plus où se mettre. Ce mégaphone peut s'utiliser comme signal d'alarme de forte portée et peut être dissuasif en cas d'agression.

Lo hemos utilizado para rodajes de publicidad y videos donde hay que movilizar a mucha gente y genial. La potencia es suficiente hasta para que te escuchen en lo alto de un edificio a 30 metros del altura. Tiene además modos de sirena y ambulancia muy curiosos que si no estás atento te pueden saltar solos y hacer brincar al personal. Lo único malo, las 4 pilas tipo D que no incorpora. 11 euros mas que tienes que poner. Por lo demás, muy bueno

Tres bon appareil, legere disproportion quand àla portée de 1000 metres, mais pour le reste, tres efficace en fonction du rapport qualité/prix. Il m’agrée!
