I don’t tend to be overly picky when it comes to loose-leaf tea steepers. As long as the steeper holds enough tea for a generous mug and does its job reasonably well, I’m usually happy. With that in mind, this set turned out to be a great value for the price. The fact that it comes with three steepers is particularly convenient—my partner and I drink tea together often, and it’s nice not to have to wait for one to finish before making another cup. Being able to prepare multiple mugs at once has made our tea sessions much more enjoyable and efficient. That said, the quality does reflect the low cost. The moving parts feel somewhat flimsy and a bit loose, as though they might come apart with heavy use. Because of that, the closures aren’t as tight as I’d prefer, and small tea leaves sometimes manage to escape through the gaps into our mugs. It’s not a major issue for me personally, since I usually pour my tea through a small filter afterward, but I know that extra step won’t appeal to everyone. If you’re the kind of tea drinker who absolutely hates finding bits of leaf floating in your cup, you may want to invest in a higher-quality steeper with a more secure seal. However, if you’re looking for something affordable, functional, and convenient—especially if you brew multiple cups at once—this set offers solid value for the money. It’s not perfect, but it does the job well enough for casual, everyday tea drinkers like me.

These tea balls are really rather good and you get a decent number for the price. You could probably find similar at a local dollar store or on another site. As it is, I tested this with some loose leaf earl grey tea, and after it had time to steep, the result was pleasant. I saw a similar set with fewer tea balls for more money, so my advice is to shop around and find exactly what you want for the price you want. It was easy to use, and decently made.

I have to say that I found these to be surprisingly well constructed, and that's not qualified as being "only for their price range". If there had been the option to award 4.5 stars that is what I would have done, as I have found one SMALL issue, as I'll describe below. The strainers I received are all well-constructed and fairly strongly sprung, so will stay tightly closed. Their basket alignment is good, so stray LEAVES will have a hard time escaping. The mesh size I picked (after a close look at the photos) is the finest version of the 3 choices, and even this mesh size WiLL NOT stop tea in a fairly fine condition from coming through. So, if your tea of choice is in such a form, I'd suggest using a fabric-type tea strainer rather than this one to minimize the hassle factor. This is the ONLY reason I would have subtracted one half star. I have not found a significant "leak-through" problem when using larger sized shreds of what passes for whole or "broken" leaves-or even with SOME of the higher-volume commercal teas sold in teabags I had on hand and that I've tested using these.

These tea balls work fine and I didn't have any issues with them. We have used them to make several cups of tea. We add one teaspoon of loose tea for a cup of tea and can often get several brewings out of it, depending on the tea strength. The strainer size is great for the tea we use; not a much, if any; loose tea floating around.

Does the job but material is cheap and doesn’t always close all the way.

These strainers are solid. I use them nightly for peppermint and ULTHMOK licorice root—the big stuff, not powder. Think cut-and-sifted chunks that look like mini Lincoln logs or tea firewood. They fit easily and stay put with no leaks or mess. Cleanup is a breeze, and the construction is sturdy enough that I don’t worry about crushing or bending them. I’ve used a lot of infusers over the years, and these finally feel like something built for real tea drinkers—not just the dainty loose-leaf crowd. If you brew roots, bark, or anything chunkier than standard leaves, this is your set.

Great product. Arrived in perfect condition. No toxic glue sealant or polyester tea bags aka microplastics. The loose tea is so much higher quality then the "dust" or "fannings" used in tea bags. Satisfied customer!!

Love this tea ball. Been using them a few weeks. First pic is size comparison with my old tea ball. These are much bigger, but still fit easily in a mug (see video). The larger size makes them easy to use and they feel much sturdier than others I’ve bought from Amazon. Strong close mechanism for minimal escaping tea leaves. Pleased with my purchase.
