Black Hair Dye Shampoo for Gray Hair Coverage 500ml

I give it 5 stars because it works really well, but for me this is not really like a shampoo. It feels more like a strong hair dye. The color came out much darker than I expected, so just keep this in mind. The instruction says not to wash your hair with shampoo after, but personally I recommend to wash it with your regular shampoo. Then use the mask that comes with it or your own conditioner. Alse very important, put some cream or vaseline around your hairline and on the skin before you use it. It stains the skin a lot and can be really hard to wash off after. Overall it works good, just be careful with the color because it comes out pretty dark.

I love this stuff! I only have some grey around my sideburns and hairline. Only really noticeable if I pull my hair back, which I do for work. Coloring at home was ruining my hair and it didn’t last. I was going to the salon which lasted longer but so expensive. I started out using this to extend the time between color. I have just completely switched to using this. I have medium brown hair so this light brown ended up giving me a warm color which I am fine with. I wash my hair every other day with an all natural shampoo and this lasts about 2 weeks. I have been just rinsing and reusing the gloves they sent. And don’t skip the hair mask sample they send. It smells great and makes my hair soft and shiny. I ended up ordering a full size of the mask because I love it so much. I’m sure I’ll have to change strategy when I get more all over grey but for now this is working great. I’ve used it 3-4 times and there is still product in the bottle. I don’t normally leave reviews, but I just had to for this product. Oh and make sure you wipe any that gets on your face/skin. It can stain a little and you end up having to scrub to get it off.

It is very easy to use, covers gray hair quickly, and leaves the hair with a beautiful, even color. Plus, it cleanses and conditions at the same time, leaving the hair soft and looking great. It is an excellent option for keeping grays covered without having to go to the salon.

I like this product a lot. I use the purple on dark brown hair. It doesn’t fully cover my sparse grays, but it makes them less noticeable. My hair feels very dry after washing the product out so the conditioning mask is a must for me. It feels similar to way clarifying shampoo makes my hair. My hair still feels healthy after the deep conditioning. The color shows up best in the sun and it fades pretty quickly. That said, I definitely think this has lightened my hair over time. I know it says it doesn’t have lightening agents. I plugged the ingredients into ChatGPT and it also said there were none - but I absolutely think it’s made my hair lighter. I’ve had multiple people ask if I’ve lightened my hair so it’s not just me! Maybe it’s doing something to my hair chemistry, maybe it’s reacting with the sun 🤷‍♀️ I like the effect, but I that’s not what you want, be careful. Let me preface this by saying that I have been coloring and highlighting my hair at home for years. My gray grows in about every 2 weeks and the time it takes to color my hair, not to mention the damage that has become the norm for me, has had me searching for a better and easier solution for quite some time. When I saw this product and read the reviews, I really thought it might be the solution I was looking for. My hair is a dark ash blonde, so I chose the the linen product. I'll admit I was very nervous about trying it but I was hopeful. I finally tried it four days ago. As much as I wanted to love it, it didn't measure up like I had hoped. First off, people say it's not messy but I found it to be very messy. It's not a thick gel like consistency but is more runny, and it seemed to run out of my hand when I pumped the bottle. It looked VERY orange when I put it on my hair, which was quite concerning, because I naturally have a lot of red undertones and I was afraid of what might be to come if it picked up on those undertones. Many reviews said it was so easy to use, but it really wasn't to me. It doesn't lather like normal shampoo. I found it very difficult to get it everywhere on my scalp that might be sprouting grays. It didn't seem to cover very well. It did irritate my skin just a little bit as it sat, but not as much as box dye. I applied it to my roots the best I could and tried to pull it through the ends of my hair but it seemed to be absorbing very unevenly which made it difficult to evenly coat my hair. The bottle says to let it sit or 10-15 minutes but 25 minutes for stubborn grays, so that's what I did. I rinsed it out in the shower and used the conditioner that came with it. When I got out of the shower, I could immediately tell, even though my hair was wet, that it was too dark. As I blew dry my hair, it became more and more apparent that not only was the color much darker than I was hoping, but that it covered very unevenly and was very flat and dull looking. My hair didn't have any natural highlights or undertones. It was almost black. It stained my skin on my forehead and ears very badly. Much more so than box dye. Four days later and the skin on my forehead is still stained. I ended up having to pull my hair through a cap at home and try to highlight it to bring it back to my natural color as much as possible, but it is still much too dark due to the base tone from this product. It might work okay if you have minimal grays throughout your head or if you are used to a one tone hair color. Unfortunately for me, it wasn't the miracle solution I was hoping for.

I bought this for my wife and she really likes it. It left her hair feeling soft and hydrated, and the color covered the gray quite well. We also liked that it comes with a hair mask and gloves, which makes the application more convenient. So far, she’s very happy with the results, and I’m glad I purchased it for her. Definitely recommend it!

Oh my! This stuff works!! I stopped coloring my hair 6 years ago. But people keep asking me when I am going to retire. I am 55 and that question really bothers me. So I purchased Dark Brown because with permanent hair color my grey was very resistant. I left it on for 20 minutes and went from grey hair to very dark brown hair. It was shocking. I don't think I was ready for such a change. I should have started with a medium or light brown. I should not have left it on for 20 min. I should have made sure I applied it evenly, since I completely missed an area of hair on the top of my head... Anyway, I currently have Color Oops in my hair in an effort to remove some of the color. My advice, make sure of your color selection. Do it for LESS than 20 minutes. You can always do it again if you want a darker shade.

The product works, but for me 3-4 weeks. Also, for it being large im surprised it didnt come with more conditioner or gloves. It's not a one time use bottle. 3 stars because of that and its just like coloring your hair. I was hoping for something else. Yes, it does have a smell.

Excellent alternative to expensive salons. I bought this with some hesitation but it’s been the best option of all that I tried - salons, box dyes and hair colours. It’s super easy to use and my Hair took the colour within 15 mins.

so happy with my new hair colour! my hair was getting grey (i was blonde) and now its burgendy! covers a lot of grey, but not all, maybe need to use a bit more, or longer, on top.. next time..but i love it nevertheless! love the colour, its easy to apply .. no horrible smells (tip: apply some vaseline on your skin , on the hairline of your face and neck.. so u can whipe the dye off when ur done ) i have very sensitive skin and hair (hyperallergenic) but it gave me no bad reactions at all...mayb a bit dry but that can be fixed with some oil or serum.. i have bought 2 bottles more, (was on sale) so guess my hair will b red this summer ;) TNX amazon for the fast and good delivery!
