We love these Melissa and Doug wooden puzzles. I have 2 others I used for my son when he was a baby and he loved them so I knew it would make the perfect gift for friends children! This one is especially great because it is not only a puzzle but incorporates shapes AND colors! Great for hands on parents for early education!

The pieces amare big and chunky for young toddlers to be able to hold. It has your basic shapes with eye catching colors for babies. No defects and arrived sleaed in plastic wrap to keep it clean and looking new.

Baby loves banging this around and using the knobs to clap the pieces together. Super durable. Great quality

Perfect puzzle for my 1 year old! The handles are great sizes and the puzzle has a good variety of shapes. I actually got it for when he was 10 months old because he was already showing some interests in puzzles and it was a little advanced but he got the hang of this puzzle quickly! It’s perfect if you’re looking for a puzzle for an older baby. Just know that if your baby chews on things a lot and chews on this, the print will come off.

We love Melissa and Doug! This is a very simple puzzle but perfect for toddlers! Its quality wood. My toddler did have a couple of the pieces in her mouth and some of the picture on the "sun" and "window" came off. :/ but just watch them lol. Good value for what it is. So many learning points, shapes, colors, structure of a house, etc.

The thick wooden puzzle came shrink wrapped and in perfect condition. My 1 year old grandson loves it! It is such a great learning puzzle because it teaches through a picture of the shapes. I almost didn't buy it because of the negative reviews on Amazon and decided to call Melissa and Doug company to find out if their superior quality had changed over time. The company informed me that the pictures on the puzzle piece are not painted; it's a picture with a high quality laminate on top. I decided to take a chance, and I am so happy I did. It is good to know from other reviewers that the puzzle pieces do not hold up to a long time in the mouth. (In my opinion, puzzle pieces shouldn't be used as a chew type of toy anyway.) My grandson prefers to put the knob in his mouth and it is reassuring to know that the knob is screwed not glued, so I don't have to worry about the knob coming off. My grandson did put the actual piece in his mouth for a few seconds and it did not fall apart. Since the puzzle piece is not a solid wood piece, I imagine if left in the mouth for a long time it could warp. At this age, I'm planning to use the puzzle with supervision anyway, so there won't be a chance for my grandson to use it as a chewing type toy. I highly recommend this puzzle. I also bought a Melissa and Doug transportation puzzle that I am going to save for when he is a little older.

Love the Chunky handles! My grandson plays with it everyday. He uses it as a puzzle learning to put pieces in their place but also loves holding a piece in each hand and clapping them together and cheering!! He is 9 months old

Wish I had read the reviews first. I kinda had it in my head that Melissa and Doug were all wood puzzles and really good quality because I remember friends used to rave about them, but this was about 8-10 years ago. Now I finally have a kid but I think they have probably value engineered out a lot of the quality. This one was part wood part paper board. It's really cheaply made. We just bought this and and a m&d xylophone which was way off key. Kind of disappointed in the brand and would definitely not recommend to any friends or buy them as gifts.

I purchased this for my 18 month old grandson. Unfortunately one of the pieces had a chip in it, visible through packaging, and would cut his lip if he put it in his mouth.

My infant loved the puzzle. Knobs were perfect for her little hands.

Es grande comparado con los juegos similares, por lo único que no le doy 5 estrellas es que las piezas cuesta un poco encajarlas... entran perfectamente, pero cuesta un poco deslizar la figura a su sitio, me imagino que esta hecho así a propósito para que el niño o niña encaje bien las figuras, pero en mi caso necesito que entre más fácil.
