Perfect match to coil inside my induction hob
I am very grateful that I spent the extra few pounds to get this stock pot over the cheaper alternative. When I saw a review of the cheaper pot that included a video of someone dimpling (oil canning) the base of the other pot with a finger, I realised it probably wouldnโt actually work on an induction hob. The NutriChef pot has a thick base that exudes quality. It looks like it was machined flat. Though Iโm sure it wasn't, it is completely rigid and flat enough to make good contact with my induction hob. The base is 9 inches, which is the same diameter as the induction coil inside my Buffalo induction hob. They match up beautifully and the stock pot simmers along hour after hour at 96 degrees with the hob set for 200 Watts. The transparent lid is a better feature than I thought it would be, since i can easily see how the stock is doing. Strongly recommended.

Absolute quality
This is a high quality stock pot. We use it on a daily basis in our large household - pasta, rice, sauces, soup, porridge - we use it for practically everythingyou might think. Everything is well made, quality materials and the lid fits well. It cleans up really well and love that the thick base prevents burning. Very impressed and, as an ex-chef, I would even recommend it in a professional environment.

So far so good
Videos are from when I just received the pot. I have used the pot only for about a month now. Came exactly as pictured. Itโs Solid weight but not too heavy, handles donโt get too hot and cooks food a bit faster and more evenly IMO. Lid was alright and the inside of the pot came calibrated( was skeptical initially because I saw one review that said otherwise). Itโs easy to clean after cooking, may need soaking if you burn your food but that also doesnโt take long to come off compared to my old non-stick pots. I have noticed some light marks from using the abrasive(green) side of my foam sponge which I frankly didnโt need to use as stains come off quite easily after soaking. Trying my best to follow the instructions on how to care for stainless steel pots because I noticed theyโre actually legit advice to maintain itโs shine but at same time wonโt let it rob me off the joy of cooking in peace๐

Large enough, bottom d = 23 cm, no rust fisk.
This is exactly the kind of the cooker I was looking for. I decided to invest in bit of expensive cook because: - it is large enough, I wont have to prepare my soup everyday - it is made of stainless steel 18/8, whist is the least risky to get rust - has transparent lid, so I have control and keep the boiling to the minimum - the bottom is 23 cm [while the body is wider] so that the contact will be exact and no risk of bottom to deform - oval bottom on the inside, so the food wont hide in the corner and will be easy to spread, less risk of burning and sticking - sealed joint on the handles I already did cook my first soup.

Great stockpot that is very induction friendly.
This stockpot looks great, and works extremely well on my portable induction plate. I have used this extensively for about 6 months, and the outside is perfect and shiny, and the inside remains easy to clean and does not burn. This arrived very well packaged, and was in perfect condition. The glass lid fits very well, and has a small vent hole. I do however sometimes put some duct tape over the vent hole, for example, if i am sweating onions very slowly. This is a perfect size for making 4+ quarts of soup or stew. So we have one quart the day I make, a second a couple days later, and 2 quarts for the freezer. I also use it to make stocks and broths, and again, I can make about 4+ quarts at a time. I have asked my family to get me the 15 quart version of this stockpot so I can make more stock at one time. I have only great things to say about this pot. I would recommend it to anyone, especially if you do induction cooking. I am making beef bone broth today. I brwoned the meat, put it in the pot, covered it, and its on my picnic table simmering for 12 hours!! Works perfectly.

Excellent Quality / Tapered Base
Fantastic stock pot with an excellent build quality. The lip of the pot is polished with a rolled edge for fewer drips when pouring out liquid (ie: stock.) The base is tapered, making it ideal for induction cooking because it narrows two full inches and aligns to hot plate perfectly (see pics.) Outer edge to edge diameter at top is 11โ and 5/8โ (not including handles) and the base diameter is precisely 9โ 5/8โ. This for the 15 quart model. We make a lot of stock (mostly chicken and veal (then espagnole and demi glace)) and this workhorse pot has become the foundation of sauce making. Highly recommend for any family kitchen operations or general enthusiasts that appreciate the importance of stock in a kitchen (or chili or spaghetti sauce or, or, orโฆ) Totally pleased with the purchase.
