I put a small reverse wrap on mine with bankline for a cap tether and cordage carry. However, by doing this the lighter ain’t coming out… You have to remove the wrap to get them out. I like this one over the orange ones because it’s translucent enough that i can check my fuel level with a flashlight. It doesn’t glow super bright, but this may be designed with a degree of stealth in mind.

This is a well-made Bic lighter holder and one that promises to take good care of your lighter in any weather, in all conditions!

Works good and floats I had to put it to the test and it passed I tossed it into a bowl of water for 30 minutes and zero moisture inside or on lighter. This is a great product simple design but very functional, it has attachment points on both pieces so you could put a string or cord between the two and never lose the top or the bottom they’ll always stay together. The main rubber sleeve gives a good solid grip on your lighter and the hard plastic top keeps the functional parts protected and the blaze orange color makes it easy to find if you drop it. If you camp/hike and carry a bic pick yourself up one of these it’s well worth the money to know your lighter is protected will always work, floats and should be easy to find

Works well with Bic lighters, but the rubber strap that keeps the lighter lit slides off the butane release button with some non-Bic lighters. You also have to put the strap in place before lighting, which kind of interferes with the spark roller. I like that it protects the lighter from having the butane button accidentally depressed in a pocket or backpack and keeps it from getting wet, I just find it about $8 overpriced for what it is. No issues with seller. Item arrived on time and mint condition.

The protection is absolutely what I was hoping for and the glow (which I just got because I like the color) is bright enough and long lasting enough to make my lighter far harder to lose in the brush.

I realy like this product especially the brand exotac but this sleeve is realy expensive it works great and it is watertight the gas lock is tricky so i cut a piece of just a bit leaving enough so it can stay on the gas lock easier.but awesome product But to expensive!

Meine beiden FireSleeves (und die von 2 Kollegen) funktionieren einwandfrei. Meine sind seit 12/2016 in Verwendung, die der Kollegen schon länger, ich hatte meine auf deren Empfehlung gekauft. Die Bewertung von „Gerd H.“ kann ich größtenteils nicht nachvollziehen. Ja, das Produkt ist nicht billig, aber meiner Meinung nach seinen Preis noch wert. Ich sehe keine adäquate Alternative. Unsere insgesamt fünf Exemplare lassen sich mit etwas Widerstand verschließen und bleiben verschlossen. Es ist kinderleicht die leeren Feuerzeuge wieder zu entnehmen, etwas Druck mit zwei Fingern am unteren Ende und sie lassen sich herausdrücken, habe ich selbst schon dreimal gemacht. Der 8jährige Sohn eines der Kollegen hatte ebenfalls keine Probleme. Wir verwenden alle die BICs für die die Hülle gemacht ist. Die Gummischlaufe, die die Taste unten hält und damit den Gasfluss feststellt, muss mit etwas Nachdruck über die Taste gezogen werden. Logisch, wenn sie keine Spannung hat, kann sie die Taste auch nicht unten halten. Wenn ich so klamme/gefühllose Finger habe, dass ich das BIC in der FireSleeve nicht mehr benutzen kann, habe ich mindestens zwei Fehler gemacht, meine Kleidung ist nicht an das Wetter angepasst und ich versuche viel zu spät ein wärmendes Feuer zu bauen. Wenn ich solche Fehler mache, tue ich mich auch mit einem FireSteel schwer. Ausrüstung ist sicher hilfreich, ersetzt aber keine Grundkenntnisse Ich habe übrigens die Deckel mittels Paracord (orange, damit sieht man die schwarze Sleeve besser) und einen CordStopper gesichert, nicht weil er ungewollt abgehen würde, sondern damit der Deckel nach dem Öffnen nicht verloren gehen kann.
