It's Lego - what more do you need to know? :-D

These are excellent road plates, some people commented about them being a little too shiny however they fit the purpose perfectly adding more to my cyberpunk city diorama they reflect the LED’s nicely bringing extra immersion, this is my 2nd purchase of these one more set and the city will be finished. Quality, easy to use and fit wonderfully

My son (age 8) loves Lego and has recently got more into Lego city sets. We’ve bought him this as he wants to set up a city with his Lego and wants roads. He didn’t know these existed, so when we gave him the set as a well done present, he was so pleased! Base plates can be connected easily to make a proper little city/town and Lego cars can easily be driven around on the smooth roads. It’s a nice colourful set and provides a lot of fun for children. I believe the price we paid was reasonable for a Lego product.

Bought these to see what this new system is all about. In the box you get 4 ‘standard’ road plate sections and the zebra crossing plate which is half the size of the standard road plates. The plates can be arranged in a variety of ways using 2x4 grey tiles to lock them together. You also get printed road mark tiles to place in the middle of the roads. The street furniture is a great addition, you get two printed street signs, 2 street lights with a white glow in the dark tile, trees, flowers and speed humps. This set can be used to attach to other Lego City sets coming out in 2021, making it easy to grow your city. The best part of this system is the amount of customisation options. With additional pieces you can make dual carriageways, multi-storey car parks, petrol station forecourts and even bridges using the new plate system. The downside is that there’s no footpath for pedestrians and the roads are 2 plates in height meaning that they are taller than pavements on the modular building sets. I like the new system but hope they can coexist with the classic road plates. After all the older system is cheaper and features curves. The new plates are going to be fantastic for MOCs.

100% as expected. You know exactly what your getting when you buy a Lego item. Brought for my son who's obsessed with these amazing toys. Instructions were clear and also this item fits well with the other base plates. Great addition to our ever growing collection.

Not opened as it a Christmas present but as I can see all looks very good

I’m an adult collector of Lego, but my kids love it too. Whilst these road plates clearly have flaws if you are trying to use them with existing thinner baseplates they are absolute fantastic for kids to play with and configure in different ways. However, you could definitely use them in a city layout if you built up your base plates (for example using MILS). Yes they’re very shiny, unlike the road plates of my childhood, but I’m not mad at that. My daughter loves all the signs and plants that came with these plates and has got a lot of play value out of them, they’ve been by a beach, they’ve been part of a town, with city Lego and with Lego friends. Lots of the current sets come with compatible road plates so it’s lovely to be able to build and connect various sets. I got these at a really good price and would really recommend them:)

This is a great little set, but it is recommended to buy a few as you can make a big city. Or even a airport runway. Nice look with extra little things like traffic lights, signs, tree and pedestrian crossings. You can use the extra plates included to fil, in the gaps with other city sets. We are a little playground bus stop and pond. While not directly compatible with the lego train track, it can be modified to work with the track, making a railway crossing On thicker carpet it can get disconnected (only with agressive play) but easy remedy is to put some thin plates on the bottom to lock them together I would recommend this set as it will make it more fun
