乾燥したソールは削れていきますので、オイルでしっとりとさせるのが長持ちさせるコツだと思います。 状態の良いレザーソールはクニャクニャと良く曲がり、接地感があり、スニーカー以上の履き心地をもたらします。 出来れば新品を濡らさず何回か履き、ソールの表面が一通り削れた頃、たっぷりと塗って貰いたい。その後も様子を見ながら数度は塗って貰いたい。そうしてしっかり染み込めば最早毛羽立つ事はありません。 勿論、既に傷んだソールにも効果は実感出来ると思います。染み込みが早く、ソールが柔らかくなるのが特徴ですね。 路面が大変濡れている所を歩いてしまいました。 オイルソール化している靴でしたが、ソールは大きく水を吸い、底から来る湿気が靴内で飽和している状態でした。夏ですので大変なダメージだと思います。 新聞紙など使いながら自然乾燥し、再度オイルを塗り込みました。 結果、全く劣化を感じませんでした。水に濡れる前と変わらない履き心地、接地感でした。 今のソールの硬さに満足している方には合わないかもしれません。 塗っても効果が無い場合、ソールの寿命かもしれません。

What can I say about 'Saphir d'Or Sole Guard' that hasn't been said before? The French are serious about top-notch quality that they offer in all products that they create for our fine shoes, and this oil is not an exception. As soon as I get a brand new pair of shoes, I wear them for a few days. I then brush the outsole with a stiff plastic brush. Once I remove stuff that attaches to the leather, I apply a coat of 'Saphir d'Or Sole Guard.' An hour or two later, I apply a second coat. I allow equal amount of time and I apply a third coat. I repeat the process three times because I can see how quickly the dry leather absorbs the oil. I do not wear those shoes for several days to allow the oil to spread to internal fibers of the leather other than the surface. With this treatment repeated periodically ~and other treatments for the upper leather~ a fine pair of shoes stands a good chance to last a long time.
