Works Great but....
Upon receiving the charger, I opened the packaging to find the cheapest peice of plastic with short power and clamp wires (that are like 18 gauge) and thought to myself well, this thing is a waste especially after reading the most nonchalant instructions I've ever seen for a device one of which reads, "Green light - Charged enough", but I went ahead and plugged it in and started the charge of my ATV battery. A couple hours went by and I went to check on it and it was green (full). I thought to myself, theres no way that its already full so I unplugged it and plugged it back in and went directly to green. Irritated I grabbed my battery and took it to place on my big charger and to my amazement it went immediately green, fully charged. They say never judge a book by its cover. This little cheap charger/maintainer is beyond a great buy. Only reason for the 4 stars is the build quality and length of wires but if you want something that will charge a battery quickly and is cheap, look no further! Easy to use just clip to the battey and then the wall. Very portable and even has a little bag to store it. Looks to impress with a nice smiley face to help remind you it may look and feel cheap but it does the job!

A pleasant surprise at an unbeatable price point
Iโll be straight up honest for this review. If the price wasnโt under $10 for the unit, it wouldnโt get 5 stars. But for less than the cost of a McDonaldโs meal, this charger is 100% worth buying. But hereโs the deal. Itโs built cheaply, theyโre not trying to hide that fact. The wires are thin, clips are kid sized, and it doesnโt have any screen or ways to identify mode, voltage , % etc. itโs a simple 1 LED that tells you itโs charging or itโs done/not charging. This thing wonโt put out more than 2 amps, and usually itโs closer to 1amp at ~13V, so donโt expect this thing to be able to revive <1V completely dead, doorstop/anchor batteries or have the ability to desulfate/clean the plates of anything. Now, why do I still think itโs great after all these complaints?, well, 1st reason was already explained, thereโs essentially no risk with the price, you couldnโt go out to a real store and buy a cheap trickle charger for the $7 I paid for this, so thatโs self explanatory. But the main reason is that, this little thing has been able to out perform my $800 OTC tester/charger/diagnostic unit, along with 3 other cheaper style ($20-$40 range) low amp battery chargers. I recently had 2 very dead batteries, one was under a volt, closer to millivolt readings than full bolts and the other one was about 7 years old and abused, maybe 6 volt output (all 12v ~1k CCA). During the process of trying to revive these dead weights I realized the Amazon $20 charger that claimed to be 2A capable AND had repair mode was actually BS and couldnโt repair two separated legos back together let alone a battery chemical catastrophe, and it wouldnโt put out more than 50% of the amperage it was claimed to be able to handle. I ended up returning that one due to its uselessness and deceitfulness. That left me with the OTC diagnostic cart which kinda works for charging but itโs REALLY just made to be a diagnostic/load tester, so it either takes multiple days of its trickle output or it just stops charging randomly without notice. It also didnโt want to put any current into the <1V dead one, didnโt even recognize it was connected. So as a last ditch effort before scrapping both batteries, I threw one on a high quality jump pack for longer than Iโd like to admit and than hooked the real bad one to a welder (wouldnโt advise this method unless you really have a grasp on how this all works so Iโm not gonna explain that method further) So after one was plenty hot but reading 10v and the other one finally cooled & was refilled after boiling off like it was waiting for some uncooked spaghetti to be dropped inside itโฆ. I decided to just throw this thing on and see what happened. After 12 hours I came back to a fully charged and restored battery that this thing was hooked to and the bad one that was on another charger managed to get to around 11v so I put this one on the other one and to my great surprise, it brough that one back too. While the bad one was reading 12.6v by the end of it all, it really fell apart under any significant load after being abused for 8 years , so that one went to be used in a chicken coop LED string light setup which still works to this day and the other one went into a 3.6L V6 sedan that still cranks over in 2 seconds or less. So this stupid little thing that I really expected was going to end up in my scrap pile managed to be the only one that was able to bring two trash batteries back up to full capacity. But with an important caveat being that, it could only do so after I used other devices and methods that were capable of delivering up to ~100amps into these batteries PRIOR to hooking them up to this. I know this thing couldnโt revive those two alone BUT I did use it a week later to bring another different pretty dead 5 year old battery reading around 6.5v back to full charge and threw that one in my beat up hauling truck with a hemi 5.7L and itโs still there today months later starting that engine just fine. So for the $7 or $8 or whatever at/under $10 that youโll prob find this thing priced atโฆ.id say youโre missing out if you didnโt buy this one. Maybe not for your โmainโ battery charger if you do a lot of chargingโฆbut for a nice cheap trickle charger or a small compact backup low amp charger, this things great and itโs already outperformed and out-survived multiple chargers from reputable brands that cost me 3X-20x as much as I paid for this one. Iโd buy it again in a heartbeat and I will continue calling it a cheap little junky warrior at the same time. But again, if this thing was $30, $50+ or whatever, I wouldnโt be singing the praise I am today and I might even have considered returning. Keep your expectations reasonable and use your brain here to determine if anything in this low output class of chargers could even perform the job you need done, and if itโs reasonable to think it can, than you cannot go wrong if you choose to buy it.

Inexpensive and works!
Great inexpensive battery maintainer. I use these on my mowers and tractors and they have maintained my batteries through the winter months without issue. Easy to install and function well. Provides a low slow charge.

Cheapest, and these last much longer than cheap chargers that cost 2 or 3 times as much.
These last about 2 years. If you leave them hooked up for trickle charging, the clamps will eventually corrode. But the bigger, fancier red/black chargers burn out in just a few months, so these are much better. And they'll charge a car battery if you leave them overnight. Definitely worth the money.

Dont waste your money
Dont waste your money. I bought 2 of these with the thought that I would keep 2 different batteries maintained through the winter. When hooked one up to a battery the red light came on, which is suposed indicate that the battery is charging . So after a long time with the light still on red, I unhooked it and hooked the 2nd charger up to the same battery. This time the green light came on. I then alternated the chargers back and forth several times and each time with the same results . I did have another brand older battery maintainer on a third battery which I tried on the same battery I had tried the other two on and it indicated the battery was fully charged. So, at least one of the two I purchased isnt working correctly. Now it is my understanding that even if it were, you arent suposed to leave them connected to a battery after it is charged. For the around $15 I paid , its not worth my time to try to repack these and ship them back ,even if i could find the boxes and repack them correctly . I am just writing this review so that maybe someone else can avoid the hassle of dealing with junk. Remember you get what you pay for. I would have given less than one star but I guess you have to give at least one.

Does exactly what it claims
This product does exactly what it claims. You must remember it is basically a trickle charger for slow charging. It will not start a vehicle with a dead battery, it is not a booster. It is perfect for my riding mower battery after sitting for the winter season. I recommend this product.

Didn't work!
I hooked this up to my riding mower, the light went red and within a few minutes it turned green. The mower wouldn't start. Repeated the connections again and it still didn't work. Disappointed and a waste of money! The product was also very small even though it said it worked for mowers, .motor cycles etc.
