Those guys need 6 stars... Use case: Duravit Stark 3 toilet with soft close lid. After so many years the attachment got all rusted and started to disintegrate. I lost 1 hour trying to find the official part, when I did it was unavailable. Then I found this product. There is no user manual...because... you don't need one. It's super easy, I did it in less than 5 minutes. Tip for unmounting before you replace. with the toilet lid vertical, use a large screwdriver to lift the plastic seat from the metal thing. Then you are left with 2 empty holes in the porcelain. As shown in the picture, the plastic cylinder black part goes inside the hole. Another tip: dont try to push it in the hole without the screw. So, 1/3 of the plastic black cylinder in the hole, add the screw on top and push. Hop it's in. Start screwing so the black part increases in diameter and locks into place. don't tighten too much until you ensure the position of the metal thing match the width of the holes in the plastic of the toilet seat. Then secure, add the metal cover and done. 2 negatives: the metal covers are not secured in place very well, but it's fine. second. The metal parts that go into the toilet seat actually dont "lock the seat". You can literally just lift off the seat, but I dont really see a practical problem with that. So thank you for the easy install and saving me money !

The item works as it should. The only issue I personally had was that it was not the same size as the originals that came with the toilet. What I did to bypass this issue was I used the pair that it comes with and removed my original one so that the lid of my toilet seat could fit without issues. Had I left the old one on, they wouldn’t line up properly with the toilet seat. The original ones that came with the toilet were a bit bigger and they looked nicer IMO but nothing noticeable. Heck..it’s just a toilet seat hardly anyone even looks at! All in all…Good product! Would buy again if any other of my toilets need them. PS..if you’ve made it this far, when you’re installing the item, screw gently until snug. If you keep tightening the screw slowly, eventually you will feel it tighten up nice and snug. It may seem loose at first but keep screwing slowly and it’ll snug right up for you. Good luck!

I recently pulled the trigger and purchased a bidet toilet seat. I own an American Standard Studio toilet that uses this style anchor for the seat. When attempting to install the bidet seat one of the rubber molleys that came with the original anchors fell down below into the cavity of the water closet. Getting access into the interior of these toilets is difficult at best. So I found these and ordered them. I only used the rubber molleys to replace my original ones but they worked with some care to allow my new bidet seat to be installed. Very nice to find them here on Amazon! I thought I would have to return the very expensive bidet seat. It now installed thanks to the ability to replace the original rubber molley inserts. Couldn't be more pleased!
