Description

Just south of Rochester Falls in Missouri, the Platte River widens out. Over time, the slowing waters have left these beautiful sand bars that channel the water into several smaller canals that merge again just before the highway bridge. From here, it is possible to kayak all the way to the Missouri River. This is one of my favorite paintings. This is a 14x20 pastel painting on Ampersand Pastel board, double matted and framed behind Museum Glass - no glare and 100% UV protection. Prints available.
