Would you be able to use this as a prefilter pad in a cat water fountain

It depends on the fountain I guess. This stuff is real thin, less than a quarter inch thick. For your application, I'd use filter floss to build up to proper thickness, then the micron polishing pad. Will this help with micro bubbles coming from my return pump?
