From the author of Grandma's Bag of Stories It's 2020 and children are stuck indoors as the novel coronavirus finds its way into India. A nationwide lockdown is announced and amidst the growing crisis, Ajja and Ajji welcome their grandchildren and Kamlu Ajji into their house in Shiggaon. From stitching masks, sharing household chores, preparing food for workers to losing themselves in timeless tales, the lockdown turns into a memorable time for the children as they enter the enchanting world of goddesses, kings, princesses, serpents, magical beanstalks, thieves, kingdoms and palaces, among others. The myriad stories told by their grandparents become the biggest source of joy, making the children compassionate, worldly-wise and more resilient than ever. Following the trail of the best-selling Grandma's Bag of Stories , India's favourite author Sudha Murty brings to you this collection of immortal tales that she fondly created during the lockdown period for readers to seek comfort and find the magic in sharing and caring for others. Wonderfully woven in her inimitable style, this book is unputdownable and perfect for every child's bookshelf! Collection of children's stories
โณ๏ธThese past few days I've been very busy and haven't had enough time to read a new book. But I really wanted to start a new one. So as always, children's book came to my mind as a solution. 'Grandparents' Bag of Stories' is actually the second book I have read by the author Sudha Murty. Just like the title, the book contains a big bag of stories that can be enjoyed by both kids and adults alike.โณ๏ธ โณ๏ธ'Grandparents' Bag of Stories' is filled with lots of cautionary tales for children. As this story is written in times of pandemic, the book also teaches kids how to take care of themselves in such a situation. So I must say, this is very helpful for the young ones. I mean we all know how children are. If they are taught through stories, it will help them understand better.โณ๏ธ โณ๏ธOMG, the illustrations were really beautiful. I loved it, so I am sure the kids will too. The drawings are not made like those from a comic strip or a graphic novel. If I remember correctly, two pics per chapter. It was apt and perfect. Usually, when I read such novels, one or two stories will always have a touch that gives me the impression of having heard these stories somewhere before. But here, each story was new and brilliant. And the manner in which the author narrated it was so simple and elegant at the same time. If you love reading them or wish to share the stories with your little ones, then I would definitely recommend this book.โณ๏ธ

Read these to my granddaughter. Completely different from any other child grandparent book. Need to read all first (of course) as care is necessary in choice - some are more suitable for an older aged child.
