Yes, it has a ring that you can clip onto things like a gym, car seat, etc. It's not musical and doesn't light up, but it's been one of my baby's favorite toys since she was 3-4 months old. She's 7+ months now. She likes it so much that we got another one so she has two. One Freddie and one Fifi. Baby Einstein Take Along Tunes has music and lights. She likes that one a lot too, more so now that she's older.

I haven't tried, but I think it would ruin the "plastic mirror" part of the toy. I would just hand wash with mild soap and air dry.
