It keeps them hot fairly well. I like the fact that it has almost no plastic that touches the contents. I also like the ceramic interior lining. The splash guard is useful but is a bit tricky to clean. The lid can be hard to grip due to no ridges and a fairly smooth surface. Review: Great lil mug - fits a niche in my mug collection - I purchased the 8oz Fellow Travel Mug because I wanted a leakproof, small mug that I could easily carry in my sling bag, either before I consumed the contents or after. I am very content that it fills this bill. In addition, it seems to be well built and the "slosh" guard insert does seem to minimize liquid loss when the screw top is not in place. Because this item is designed to provide a leakproof experience, it will probably lose heat faster than a mug designed with a drinking port (you have to unscrew the top of the Fellow to consume your beverage), however, heat lost could be mitigated if you replace (set on top, no need to screw down) the top between sips. I also found the thin lip of the mug very pleasant to sip from, and yes, somehow it prevents hot liquid from scalding your lip! Very much like this lil guy, especially to fill an important niche in my hot beverage container line-up! ## Features - LEAK-PROOF LID & SPLASH GUARD – A quick twist locks the lid tight and the removable splash guard keeps liquid steady on bumpy rides when the lid is off. Toss it in your bag with confidence knowing your drinks will stay put until you’re ready to sip. - DRINKABLE THIN LIP – A tapered lip inspired by Cabernet glasses sits comfortably on your mouth and delivers flavor right where you taste it most. Every sip feels elevated, whether it’s morning coffee, afternoon tea, or water on the go. - TRUE TASTE CERAMIC INTERIOR – Your coffee, tea, and water should taste the way you brewed them. The ceramic-coated interior keeps every sip pure and free from lingering oils, odors, or metallic notes. - HOT OR COLD FOR HOURS –Double-wall stainless steel keeps drinks hot for up to 12 hours or cold for 24. Coffee, tea, water, or anything in between stays at the perfect temperature. - PORTABLE BY DESIGN – Slim silhouette fits most car cup holders, bags, and hands comfortably. Sized to hold your favorite coffee, tea, matcha, or water, without slowing you down on the go. - BUILT TO LAST – Crafted with premium stainless steel, Carter Move is made to handle daily use while still looking sleek on your desk or in your bag. - SWAP LIDS, NOT MUGS – The Carter Move mug body is compatible with our Carter Slide and Carry lids, so you can swap lids to suit your ritual. Avoid using anything abrasive to clean Carter as it may damage the ceramic coating. After washing your Carter, you should dry by airing it out upside down and storing it with the lid off. This will help keep your Carter looking and smelling fresh. Running Carter through the dishwasher may cause paint to chip and the vacuum seal to become ineffective.” **Q: Is this mug dishwashable?** A: Yes. **Q: Can you use an aero press directly into the mug?** A: No. The opening is not large enough to accommodate the Aeropress. **Q: Splash guard purchase separate ?** A: Yes, it is a separate piece that is easily removed or inserted. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Love the size and the minimal use of plastic *by C***S on April 27, 2026* I love the size of this mug (which appears to have been discontinued) for smaller coffees.
