Brenthaven Collins Vertical Messenger Bag, Indigo

Very happy with a purchase. I've bought this messenger bar specially for my daily business use instead of a bulky backpack.Very stylish, high quality and compact bag. My macbook pro 13 retina fits there perfectly. It has 3 (three) additional external pockets:One is the main one under the cover hoodie where you can put your adapter, mouse and sunglasses/or chocolate bar. On top of that, inside of the main pocket there are three additional sections where you can place 2 pens, your cell phone and attach keys.Second smaller one is inside the external part of cover hoodie where you can place you private stuff like of flat format with a business card size (e.g. headphones, business card holder, brush e.t.c.).The third one of A4 paper format on the rear side, where you can put A4/A3 format papers and notebooks.p.s.: The only thing I' am a little bit sad that there is no possibility to put 0,5 liter water bottle.Best option in terms of price and quality and of course style. 105% recommend!

Absolutely love this thing. Premium feel to it, quality materials feels like it's built to last. I have bought other products from this company because of this bag and have not been disappointed and all this at a reasonable price. Just a reminder this is a tech bag first meaning it's for your tablet/laptop and it's accessories if you're looking to use this as a full time backpack alternative look for something else cause there isn't much room and it doesn't expand that much.

Second bag I have purchased from Brenthaven. I wanted a smaller bag to carry my MB Pro in and this fits the bill. Excellent quality as I expected.

The perfect iPad tote and general electronics bag.

I really like the bag, but the main storage compartment is just too small. I can fit my Surface Pro nicely and some paper, maybe a notebook and that's it. It's a tight fit. I wish the bag opened up just a bit more to fit more in the bag. Aside from this, the quality and materials are top notch.

I do like brenthaven bags and have been using them since 2008. They are durable, have nice protection, look nice. I would have given this five stars if it weren't for one thing. I used to own the same bag except it was for the iPad. When I bought my retina MacBook in 2015, it was the first iteration of this model (the ultra thin one) and there weren't too many bags for it. I estimated that the Collins bag for the iPad would fit perfectly, AND IT DID. okay... it was a little short and had to stretch a bit to close it with the buckle, but it wasn't really that big of a deal. But it was small, fit the MacBook perfectly, and was like a vertical sleeve with a couple extra pockets that I could put a couple documents and my charger, cable and adaptors. It's basically just like the one I'm reviewing except for shrunken down a bit and thinner (and in grey which I preferred).Okay, so the thing is, this bag is just a little too wide to keep my very thin MacBook from sloshing around in it a bit. I could probably fit three or four MacBooks in this thing. Actually, it probably would have fit my 2008 white plastic MacBook perfectly. Again, not a huge deal and I still feel like my MacBook is protected, but it could be better and more tailored to the retina MacBook they've been making for a couple years now.... or they could have kept selling the iPad one and I would have bought one of those instead.
