The fact that these things rotate makes them that much better than the others I purchased previously. It's cold here and my electric scooter goes 50 mph so then there's a wind chill that's much lower in temperature. My clothing barely keeps me warm enough to commute to work but the frigid temperatures are wreaking havoc on ALL of my plastic object. They get brittle and they snap at their weakest point. Some things, I bail on. Other things, I continually replace. These will likely freeze and snap as well but I had two different connections screwed together to get my helmet camera to point the proper direction. With these rotating mounts, I only have this one thing on the side of my helmet. It's great!

Works great but since it’s two pieces and it turns there is some play causing the camera to move just slightly left and right. If your trying to make stable shots it can be difficult

I purchased these because I film on a daily basis and needed a mount that I could rotate instead of having to remove my camera and turn it to mount in the opposite direction. These work very well, but I had to tighten the tiny Phillips head screw on the bottom because the mount would turn very easily when I hit a bump (it was mounted on my atv). The only issue I have with these is with the actual build quality. The plastic they used to create these are quite brittle, two of them have already broken so they won’t lock into the GoPro style base. The reason I gave them a 4-Star rating is because of their price….you could purchase 6 of these for the price of one from GoPro. Yes I would certainly buy them again, I just wish they would change the plastic to something that isn’t as brittle.

It's solid, and rotates around a vertical axis 360 degrees. Initially you need to turn it very hard. After turning a dozen or more times, it becomes less resisted. The whole screw is shorter than the Hero 9's original one (1 3/4" vs 2 1/8"). But the metal portion is actually 1/16" longer. And the screw head is bigger. So it's very hard to use it directly with Hero 9 since the screw goes in between the buckle and the Hero 9. The screw head touches the bottom of the Hero 9 . There simply is no room for your fingers to tighten the screw. I wish it came with a longer screw, it would have worked a lot better. I also notice that their screw pitch is slightly wider than the GoPro one. If you use your original GoPro screw for long, it could be damaged.
