Visually it is what someone wants sitting on the bar. Functionally it's probably ok for occasional use, day to day/everday use is more problematic.Our reason for purchase is that the ice dispenser in the door of our refrigerator broke, the part needed is no longer available (sadly a 5 year old fridge--but that's a different story). The refrigerator still makes ice great but it's not easy to get to the ice in hidden door compartment. Therefore we projected daily usage of the ice bucket.This ice bucket is not good for daily use. First, it is double walled for condensation but not insulated, ice melts very quickly. Second, the hinged non-removable lid is not good for cleaning/sanitizing/air drying.Additionally the glue for the "BPA Free" label stuck to the clear lid does not come off. You are left with a sticky spot that lives on and reminds you that there was once a sticker there. If it's intended that the label should remain forever then the label shouldn't be paper, if it's intended for the consumer to remove the label them the glue should be removed when the label is peeled. (Using a cleaner will likely damage the clear plastic lid.)

I bought this for our Christmas party bc we don't have an ice maker. Not only does it look great, it's no-slip and it's easy to fill/ scoop from. We had about 25 guests and everyone from children to elderly were using this with ease. I have arthritis in my hands, so I really liked the rubber on the lower part - it helped me get a better hold of the bucket when it was full.The scoop it came with was a little flimsy, so we bought the OXO steel Ice Tongs to use with it. They fit great in the scoop holder.The ice bucket was out on the counter for about 6 hours and there was still a little bit of solid ice when i emptied it out at the end of the night. Amazing.

I’ve owned this for several years. The good: a scoop to get large amounts of ice. Lid stays on so you don’t have to sit it anywhere. The bad: the lid cracked almost immediately after buying because it is not removable and I had to turn it on it’s side to air dry after cleaning. Also, the scoop recently broke and needs to be welded to fix it. It doesn’t have a bottom drain that keeps the melted water from the ice.Overall it did work for several years, just not well. Ice melts sooner than expected.

This fell apart after our first use. The stainless part snaps on the outside of the bucket but is not secured with glue. In order to fix it we are attempting to secure the bottom of the bucket, which separates from the the main body, with glue and snapping back on the stainless band gluing it as well. The ice stayed for a long time in the bucket and the scoop was handy its the styling that is poor. It looks nice but is not a great product. I would have returned it but we threw away the box.

Nice little ice bucket! It comes with a scooper instead of tongs, with a nice little holder for it. Double walled insulation which keeps ice in good condition for hours. The handle on the bucket is a little sharp. I am also missing the strainer just like most people, this was one of the main reasons I bought this product. Other than the missing strainer, this is a great little ice bucket!
