The number of dots and colors of the dots determine the level of bounciness which are established for use at different altitudes. (Ball will bounce a little higher at higher altitudes)

It's not a beginner's ball, but nobody really uses them. Players learn to use these ones from the get go. Don't let the PRO intimidate you. There's not much difference.
