The typical arm sling we were provided by the hospital did not work very well. First of all he would not keep his shoulder immobile and managed to sprain it. He complained about neck pains and aching on his clavicles. It is a lot messier an inconsistent to fit than the pictures would indicate, because it has such long arm straps and an extra strap to put on over the top after you get rigged in. Once you can finally get it on, it is comfortable and easy to sleep in. But if the straps move even a little, it's square one pretzel problem. The extra dtrap is necessary for shoulder immobilisation. Unlike the main photo that has the straps both over the shoulders, the other photos show you actually are meant to use the right strap lower down (mid humerus), with the long over-strap at the shoulder.
