Voiceover hobbyist for about twenty years, here. I have a light baritone vocal quality and it plays really well with it. I run it through an UA Apollo Twin X and it sounds buttery and crisp and feels perfect for audiobook narration. I do more character than narration however, and while I am happy with the quality of this microphone, I've found myself preferring my Sennheiser MKH416. A lot of VO artists carry both in their mic locker and I have no desire to get rid of my 103. It's a staple of the industry to be sure, but if this was definitely a purchase I would not have made at full price if the two were side-by-side.

I purchased this mic for my home studio. Itโs mounted on a boom stand (upside down) inside my sound booth and used only for voice-over work. I also own a Neumann U87 Ai. I have recorded the same voice-over script with both mics numerous times and they sound almost identical. If anything, the 103 gets the nod most of the time. Itโs my go to mic for sure. Love it!

A great microphone to record my cello. My wife is hearing impaired. Play it through a high end guitar amplifier. Sounds great.

I love the 48a of phantom power ... makes this SO much louder and clearer than the Shure 7b โ without the need for Cloudlifter. To narrate my podcast I put the shockmount inside a reflection filter, on a mic stand, and then jerry-rigged foam around the whole thing to seal it in. I just put my mouth close to the pop filter. The mic cable is hooked up to my Zoom h5, acting as an audio interface, using the bus power from my Mac. The whole setup sounds super pro, right from my desk. check out my podcast Working Sunday (new episodes โ number 18 or higher, not older ones...) and you'll see ... Reuben workingsunday.com

The Aurary shockmount arrived broken, clearly a cheaply made product but I wasnt planning on using it anyway. The microphone itself is absolutely amazing and Amazon refunded me for the broken shock mount. Happy customer
