ピーラーといえば横型のものしか使ったことがありませんでしたが、こちらを見つけてデザインが気に入り購入しました。横型のものに比べ場所をとらず立てておけるのも良い点です。切れもよく、グリップの握り具合もフィットしていて替え刃もあり重宝します。

This is a good peeler, and the metal end for removing potato eyes is great. The handle is not too large and has a comfortable grip. This unit doesn't take too much/thick peel from the vegetables. The blade is nice and sharp, so those somewhat "aged" vegetables can still be peeled. I had some soft-ish potatoes with eyes growing of them. This tool was great at taking care of them, too.
